'Fire Country's Diane Farr Celebrates 16th Birthday of Biracial Son Who Now Towers over Her in Pics
Beckett Chung, Diane Farr's son, turns sixteen this week! The "Californication" actress wished her "big guy" a happy birthday on March 17, 2023, uploading a gallery hashtagged 'how it started how it's going.' The first slides are professional photographs of the actress and her firstborn as a baby.
In the 'how it's going section,' Diane Farr smiles while looking up at her tall child at a swim meet. On a family trip to Canada, in February, Beckett Chung sings along to an Irish drinking song, getting laughs from his mom behind the wheel, and "Fire Country" costume designer Sara Byblow, filming from the backseat.
The half-Irish actress supposed that the child's love for rhyming comes from growing up on hip hop, adding: "but get that limerick lad, it's in your genes." Asked in the comments if her son wants to get into show business, she quipped: "he wants to get into Irish pubs."

In her mid-thirties, Farr met and married Seung Chung, a Korean marketing executive. She disclosed in a video feature on Oprah Winfrey's website that they conceived their first child on their wedding night.
The star lamented that the first day of school is so early in Southern California, noting that it's also the first school day without braces.
"I have what I like to call Irish triplets," she said, as they discovered she was pregnant with twins Coco Chung and Sawyer Chung when Beckett was nine months old. The American actress of Irish and Italian heritage wrote a book, "Kissing Outside the Lines," about being in an interracial relationship.

Farr told Parade in September 2012 that when she went to Italy later in life, she realized that she knew nothing about being Italian, so her approach is "to teach them that they're American." She said:
"And all the fun things that they get excited about - holidays and fun foods - are from their two cultures from their parents and grandparents. It just makes them a more interesting American."

Though the star shares images of her family on social media, they are not embeddable by third parties. Farr took her teenagers to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Los Angeles in April 2022. The "Numb3rs" star recommended, "Put yo mask on and go," writing that it made her "swoon" and kept her jetlagged kids' attention.
