Fran Drescher Shares Happy Photo with Both Her Parents Ahead of Their 70th Wedding Anniversary
Fran Drescher is a big fan of her parents and is ready to celebrate their multi-decade love story. Her parents will be reaching a new milestone in marriage next week, and the actress has revealed how that will go.
Fran Drescher recently shared a photo with her parents in an anticipatory celebration of their upcoming 70th wedding anniversary. In the picture, we see the actress standing behind her parents in a restaurant, and all three seem to be in exceptional spirits, with big smiles and sunglasses.
The actress, best known for her role as Fran Fine in "The Nanny," which ran from 1993 until it concluded in 1999, revealed in the caption that her parents' anniversary will be on Tuesday, March 21, next week.
The actress's post has surpassed 24,000 likes within the first 11 hours, with many fans congratulating the Drescher parents ahead of their milestone celebration. Her caption reads:
"This Tuesday 3/21 on my parents' 70th wedding anniversary the Talk pays tribute to Y & R & a special congratulatory video from me will be included!"
Fran is no stranger to celebrating her parents' union. She shared a post of the two on their anniversary in 2020. The post shows an adorably blurry selfie of the senior couple showing off their perfect teeth.
Fran's parents are Sylvia Drescher and Morty Drescher. Her mother, Sylvia, 89, was a bridal consultant, while her father, Morty, 93, worked as a naval system analyst. The pair have been a solid union for many decades and appeared in a "Reelz" special.
Speaking about their "Reelz" opportunity, Fran said that she was in awe of her parents' appearance in the show, mainly because she would not have them in her life forever, and she felt they had been instrumental in her career.

Besides celebrating her doting parents on their milestone occasions, Fran regularly shares media on Instagram, appreciating the wonderful parents that Sylvia and Mort are. An excellent example of such is when she shared a video earlier this month of her mother enjoying a good cuddle with their dog.
In the caption, Fran wrote that the affection we see Sylvia showing the dog in the video is a way to reduce stress, remain in the moment, and add years to one's life. "We're happy we have you," Sylvia said to pet, whose body language showed appreciation.
Fran credits her parents for the guidance they projected onto her when she was younger. She recalled her mother telling her she did not need to take typing classes because she was bound to have a secretary. In hindsight of her mother's projection, Fran said, "And she was right!"
Fran was interviewed by the snazzy Denny Directo of ET at the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet event in February this year. The reporter queried about a potential revival of the actress's famed sitcom "The Nanny," where she played the ever-stylish Fran Fine.
In response, she revealed that there are already talks between her and the SONY production department about a possible reboot of the hit sitcom. This year is the 30th anniversary of the show, and Fran feels that it is more popular now than before.
To segue from the actress's family life, here is a look into her romantic history and interestingly complex relationship with her ex-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson.
