Alan Ritchson Writes His Wife Is 67 and Fans Do Not Believe Him

Alan Ritchson's wife, Catherine Ritchson, celebrated her birthday today. However, her movie star husband sparked disagreement among fans with the age he attributed to his wife.

Alan Ritchson recently took a comedic dig at his wife on her birthday. The actor posted a picture of his wife, Catherine Ritchson, sitting at a dining table with their son. The blonde looked terrific in a long-sleeve turquoise polar neck top with an elegant neckpiece adding bling to her look.

The caption was sweetly written and playfully confusing as the actor wished his wife a happy 67th birthday. He wrote about her being a staple of his life and that of their children, mentioning that the world is better with her in it.

The confusion set in when Alan mentioned Catherine's age, which from her appearance, was largely inaccurate to his followers. One fan disagreed, saying, "She's not 67! I'm pretty sure Alan is joking, or it's a typo lol She's in her mid-30s, I think."

Another fan, also in disagreement, said the actor's wife had to be 40. Another Instagram user wished Catherine a happy birthday before a lighthearted request that Alan put an end to what they perceived as a gag.

The actor wrote that he hoped they (presumably himself and their offspring) would be treated to a lot of birthday cake. An internationally recognized custom for celebrating one's birthday. However, the actor's mention of a wayward age made a user hope that she won't share any birthday cake with him.

One of his followers commented, "67.. @catritchson don't give him any cake for that," segmented their comment with a laughing emoji and continued to wish Cat a happy birthday.

However, it is all a joke from Alan's side, as he wished Catherine a happy 22nd birthday last year, proving the disbelieving fans right. However, It is entirely questionable if he was trying to be accurate when he celebrated Catherine then.

In 2021, Alan made another birthday tribute for his wife, but on that occasion, he abandoned all jokes, including a play on her age. He wished his wife a happy birthday with a well-written metaphor about her being the steady strum of a gentle rhythm guitar amid an off-beat life.

The actor told how they met when he talked to Hope Catherine's mother, Hoda Kotb, and Jenna Bush Hager on the "Today" show. He revealed that he met his wife at a ballet event in high school.

Alan is nowhere near 67 and indeed beyond 22; therefore, their simultaneous high school attendance gives us a better perspective on Catherine's age. She also shared a throwback photo of them in their younger days, and the couple appears to be in the same age group in the picture.

Alan and his wife have been together for a very long time, and just like many couples, they have had their share of upsets in their relationship.
