Chrissy Teigen Shares Adorable Snap of Her & John Legend’s Daughter Looking like Grandma with Pink Ribbon
Chrissy Teigen questioned her own "anti-headband" stance in the caption of her newborn daughter, Esti Maxine Stephens, looking adorable having her few strands held back by a thin white band with a tiny pink ribbon in a March 20, 2023, Instagram update.
Chrissy Teigen's fans looked past the delicate hair accessory to point out that the two-month-old Esti Maxine Stephens looks just like the model's mother, Vilailuck Teigen. Interestingly, in a post from a day before, a commenter was backed up by over 100 likes saying she could see John Legend's mom on his daughter's face.
The "Crave" author has been generous with updates on the newest addition to the Legend-Teigen household. Alongside a family portrait on March 2, she set an ambitious goal – included all their animals in the snap.
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Named Esti after Her Ancestors
The "Love Me Now" singer and Teigen introduced their third-born to the world with a photo of Esti's four-year-old brother, Miles, holding her while Luna, 6, stoked the baby's hand on January 19 from their individual Insta accounts.
Her speech was titled "We Made That Choice."
Legend explained the significance of his daughter's name to his side of the family during a visit to "The Jennifer Hudson Show." They incorporated his ancestors, great-grandmother Esther, and his grandmother's middle name Maxine when naming the January baby.
During her talk at the "A Day of Unreasonable Conversation" summit in September 2022, Chrissy Teigen corrected herself when saying she had a miscarriage two years prior in the same month to state that it was an abortion. She also said:
"It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive and that I wouldn't either without any medical intervention."
With the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in mid-2022, Chrissy realized and accepted that she did not have the miscarriage she told the world she experienced. Her speech was titled "We Made That Choice."
After Esti's birth, John Legend hoped that his and Teigen's decision to be so open about their rough journey of expanding their family "has made people feel better about that journey." In addition to the loss of their son Jack in 2020, the couple has been through multiple rounds of fertility treatments.
