Bindi Irwin Celebrates the 'Whirlwind of Love and Adventure' of Her 3 Years of Marriage
Three years after tying the knot amidst a pandemic, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell celebrate their third wedding anniversary. The conservationist and mother shared throwback photos with her husband to commemorate the special occasion.
Several years ago, Bindi Irwin found her perfect match, Chandler Powell, who learned to love wildlife as much as she does. Now they are happily married and already celebrating three years of marriage.
Bindi shared photos from her wedding and recent days with Chandler. In the first photo, taken recently, the couple smiled while leaning against each other with their eyes closed. Chandler held a grown koala in his arms that was hugging him back.
Bindi and Chandler had the same pose in their second photo, taken on their wedding day. The sweet creature in Powell's arms was also visibly smaller. The pair also had a giraffe peeping behind them.
Before his death, Steve passed down his love for animals to his children. They now continue Steve's legacy through the zoo. Bindi and Chandler also raise their daughter, Gracie, to love wildlife.
According to Bindi, Brandy, the koala, and Forest, the giraffe, attended their wedding when no one else could due to COVID restrictions. "This week we're celebrating three years of marriage and reflecting on what a whirlwind of love and adventure it has been," Bindi captioned the post.
Bindi Irwin's Wedding Happened in the Middle of the Pandemic
Bindi and Chandler tied the knot at the Australia Zoo on March 25, 2020. Despite the circumstances, the duo did not want to delay their nuptials and had an intimate ceremony with their family. Admittedly, it was a difficult decision to make, but they held it privately because they wanted to keep everyone safe.
Fans had a preview of the celebration through Instagram posts. One touching moment in Bindi's wedding was when her brother, Robert Irwin, walked her down the aisle in place of their late father, Steve Irwin.
Steve Irwin, otherwise known as the Crocodile Hunter, would have been in his 60s today. Sadly, he passed away in September 2006 due to a stingray attack. He was 44.
Before his death, Steve passed down his love for animals to his children. They now continue Steve's legacy through the zoo. Bindi and Chandler also raise their daughter, Gracie, to love wildlife.
They welcomed Gracie Warrior Irwin Powell in March 2021, paying tribute to Steve, who was known as a Wildlife Warrior. The small family's lives can be seen through Bindi and Chandler's social media.
