Kristen Doute Reacts to ‘Vanderpump’ Co-stars Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor Getting Their Own Podcast

Kristen Doute congratulated a new voice to the podcast space, her former "Vanderpump Rules" cast mate, Brittany Cartwright. She also mentioned her friend's son, Cruz Cauchi, in the March 23, 2023, Instagram Story but failed to mention Cartwright's husband and co-host, Jax Taylor.

Podcasting is a popular pursuit for reality stars, with Kristen Doute taking up the art form in November last year.

Along with her co-host and boyfriend, Luke Broderick, Doute dedicated a "Sex, Love, and What Else Matters" episode to the 'Scandoval' cheating controversy and have spoken about it weekly since the story broke. She was with Ariana Madix the night she found illicit material of Raquel Leviss on her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval's phone.

Kristen Doute & Brittany Cartwright Remain Close Friends, Even after Doute Left the Show

Doute and Cartwright's friendship has baffled the Bravoverse during their seasons together on "VPR" and beyond. At face value, the two's only genuine connection is the man they have both were involved with at different points, and he is now Cartwright's husband.

Doute brushed off the gossip, chalking it up to Taylor's habit of stirring up drama when bored.

During the second season, it came out that Doute (then with Sandoval) had sex with Taylor while he was dating Stassi Schroeder. For Schroeder, the betrayal was a double whammy as the "Sex, Love, and What Else Matters" host had comforted her the last time her man walked around on her.

As that cheating drama had happened before she got together with Taylor and moved to Los Angeles from Kentucky to be with him, Cartwright did not seem bothered by the messy affair that did not get screen time beyond that early season.

As for Kristen Doute, she set aside a whole chapter to own up to her indiscretion in her 2020 book "He's Making You Crazy," aptly named the chapter "I lied."

Taylor spread a rumor that Doute and Cartwright had a drunken kiss in the sixth season. Doute brushed off the gossip, chalking it up to Taylor's habit of stirring up drama when bored. Doute and Stassi Schroeder kicked off the show in June 2020 for allegedly calling the cops on Faith Stowers.

A few weeks after getting booted, Doute attended Taylor's birthday party thrown by his partner. As one can see from the thoughtful social media mention of Cartwright's new venture, Doute and Cartwright's friendship has remained strong without the work obligations that once forced them into each other's orbit.
