In a recent Instagram post, Armitage shared a picture of himself dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt as he jumped into the air. "Travel time!!!" he captioned the post, which featured a beautiful blue sky and the slightest bit of infrastructure in the background, and sand with rocks in the foreground.

"To where???" (sic) one fan asked the young star as another guessed, "Cairo, maybe?" In previous Instagram posts, Armitage documented his travels as well. In May 2022, he wore bright red shoes and a big smile as he stood before the Cloud Gate in Millennium Park, Chicago.

By November, he had left American shores and was sightseeing in the United Kingdom. The "Little Big Lies" actor posted a black and white picture in front of Buckingham Palace and captioned the post, "Thinking of all my friends and family in the UK."

Born in 2008 in Georgia, Armitage rose to stardom after landing the role of Sheldon Cooper in "Young Sheldon," a prequel to the hit TV series, "The Big Bang Theory." For his audition for the starring role, Armitage revealed that he had to learn a three-page monologue and deliver it to a room of people, which included Jim Parsons.

After nailing his audition, the young star was on his way to fly back home when he received a call that he had gotten the part. With Parson's help, Armitage was able to slip into Sheldon Cooper's character, and he revealed:

"I love everything about him. I just love playing him because there are so many funny and fun things I get to do."

In 2023, "Young Sheldon" wrapped up the production of its sixth season, with its seventh on the way. However, according to reports, the hit show is scheduled to end in the seventh season, which, according to the prequel's narrative, will see Armitage's character turn 14, his on-screen father passing away, and his on-screen brother tying the knot.

Armitage's career has also seen him star alongside Hollywood heavyweights such as Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Meryl Streep in "Big Little Lies." Although Armitage's character in the widely successful HBO mini-series is starkly different from his role in "Young Sheldon," the actor revealed that he had no problems playing both characters.
