Imperioli, who turned 57, was born on March 26, 1966, in Mount Vernon, New York. He has spent many decades as an actor after getting his start in the late 1980s. His strong New York Italian accent supports his recurring Italian mob story castings.

After joining "White Lotus" in the second season, Imperioli became a star of the hit series. NPR reports that the actor enjoyed the show's first season and acted affirmatively when contacted to join the cast. The idea of traveling to Sicily for filming also influenced the Italian-American actor's decision to accept the role.

The actor has been through a hiatus and admitted that in his time away from the stoplight before signing on to "White Lotus," he did not get many offers for exciting roles. During that time, he continued to work on his projects instead of sitting around for offers.

Imperioli spoke to Esquire Magazine about his most recent and largely disloyal character, Dominic Di Grasso, in "The White Lotus." While talking about his role, he mentioned that it is easy to box people into one thing about themselves but clarified that people are more than just one aspect.

The actor admitted that his character is unfaithful romantically and easy to judge from a moral standpoint. Still, he believes that in the end, Dominic will check back in to repair the damage he caused.

Imperioli's character in "White Lotus" was quite controversial, but the role has given his career a second wind. The show's creator, Mike White, spoke about a possible return of the series and Imperioli's character after the finale to mend the damaged relationship with his wife, portrayed by "Jurassic Park" star Laura Dern.

Upon hearing about the possibility, the actor said he loved working with White, but he refuses to think about it too much, as he seemingly does not want his excitement to be met with disappointment.
