Alejandra Is a Fashion Icon for Becky G
During a day spent under the spotlight with Vogue, Becky G revealed that Alejandra is her fashion Icon. The singer says her mother had a great sense of fashion during high school. She said:
"A style icon for me is definitely my mom. My mom in high school is a whole mood. From her natural curly hair that she would rock to her oversized jeans."
Becky's first and most vivid memory of her childhood is when she went through Alejandra's makeup bag and made "a beautiful mess" of herself. Her mother did not get mad about it. Instead, she let her daughter express herself, and that experience later helped her when she began her music career.
Alejandra's fashion sense is not the only thing her daughter picked up. During a sit down with Interview Magazine, Becky said that her mom used to play a lot of reggaeton from artists like Daddy Yankee and Jenni Rivera when she was young, which influenced her musical diversity.
