Brandon Moreno's Wife Is Shirley Moreno Who He Met on His Birthday

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) pro-fighter Brandon Moreno's wife is Shirley Moreno. The pair have been together for over a decade. They met when Brandon was still a teenager and began dating ten days later. The couple shares three daughters.

Being married to someone involved in such a dangerous sport is hard work for Shirley, who must constantly watch her husband receive hefty kicks and punches in the ring. Still, despite all the emotional pain that comes with it, Shirley remains firmly by Brandon's side and even joins in on some of his training sessions.

The couple has a happy home and enjoys spending time with their three children. From their social media posts, one sees Shirley and Brandon's love and pride for each other and their family. Shirley is adamant that she will be by her husband's side, holding his hand forever.

Shirley Calls Her Husband Brandon the 'Love of My Life'

Shirley and Brandon have known each other since 2011. According to Shirley, they met on the fighter's 18th birthday and began dating a week and a half later. In an Instagram post celebrating Brandon's birthday in 2019, his wife recalled:

"A day like today December 7th on your birthday #18 I met you. Just 10 days later our love story would begin with who would become the love of my life and with whom we would form a beautiful family. I have no words to thank you so much, I love you infinitely my love, a thousand more birthdays by your side."

Shirley Gets Worried about Brandon's Fights

UFC is quite a dangerous sport, not just for the fighter but also for their loved ones, who will be worried about the fighter's well-being during the match. Shirley is no different. She has had some edge-of-the-seat, heart-in-mouth moments during her husband's fights; a single wrong move can lead to problems that last a lifetime.

While participating at UFC 256, Brandon was involved in an intense fight with Deiveson Figueiredo. During the match, Figueiredo dished out a ferocious kick to Brandon's testicles, leaving the crowd, including Shirley, asking if his gonads were okay. Days after the fight and with scars of the battle still visible, Brandon told TMZ:

"In that moment, it was very painful. Was very, very painful because he throws a really, really hard direct to there. I don't say it was intentional, but man it was a nasty kick directly to my [expletive]."

He added that Shirley's first question after the fight was how he was doing after the powerful kick to his groin. Luckily for him, there was no lasting damage, and he was available for the next match. The fight against Figueiredo ended in a unanimous draw, so he quickly recovered from the low blow even during that match.

The Couple Is Blessed with Three Daughters

It is not clear when Brandon and Shirley tied the knot and if they had any kids before being joined in matrimony. Still, they share three children, all of them daughters. Their names are Maddie, Megan, and Morgy.

The children have an Instagram page dedicated to them. However, the parents seem very particular about their children's privacy, as the page is restricted. Only family members and friends can access what is shared on the account.

The parents still share some photos and videos about them on their Instagram pages. On Shirley's, there are photos of sweet moments between Brandon and his daughters, including one when he is sleeping on the couch with his daughter on his belly. Another post sees the father-daughter combination busting some dance moves.

Brandon also frequently shares images of his daughters, including some of their adventures. On February 21, 2023, he took one of his children to Universal Studios in Hollywood, where they appeared to have a fantastic day filled with many activities.

Although a beast in UFC, an organization led by the no-nonsense Dana White, Brandon appears to be very gentle outside of it, especially with his daughters, whom he adores and loves. One of Shirley and Brandon's daughters turned nine on January 18, 2022.

In an Instagram post celebrating his daughter's birthday, Brandon shared some emotional words in which he talked about how quickly his daughter has grown up without him even realizing it. He regretted that he could not be with his baby girl on her birthday but promised to give her the world and would not rest her until he does.

Shirley Is Very in Tune with Brandon's Career and Is Always by His Side

After meeting and starting their relationship at a young age, Shirley has been by Brandon's side throughout his career. A talented mixed martial arts performer, Brandon has a professional record of 21 wins, six losses, and two draws, and his wife has witnessed all those fights and probably helped nurse him after many of those.

Shirley sometimes also joins her husband's training session, and the two seem to cherish their time together. It also does not distract the fighter as he has continued to display a high level of fighting and is currently the undisputed UFC Flyweight Champion after beating Figueiredo in January 2023.

In December 2021, a happy Shirley was on hand to congratulate her husband after he won three out of four awards he was nominated for at the World MMA awards. She explained that what made the occasion even more remarkable was that she gets to see the amount of work he puts in and the sacrifices made to achieve all he has.

Shirley is confident in her hard-working and honest husband and believes that those awards are a testament to what other people also see in him, for example, his winning of the Fighting Spirit of the Year Award. Shirley reiterated her love and commitment to Brandon, saying she will forever be by his side "to the end of the world."
