Ruby Barker was ready for Spring in a recent Instagram post where she showed off her natural beauty. After landing a role in "Bridgerton," the actress has gained thousands of followers; however, Ruby Barker revealed that she has struggled with her mental health since the hit Netflix series.
Barker had her lush curls on display in a recent Instagram post as she sported a blue and white striped shirt and posed surrounded by plants and flowers. "Spring a ding ding #blossom," she captioned the post, and fans took to the comments section to praise her beauty. "Natural beauty from one biracial girl to another," one fan commented, and another shared, "Love the hair!!! Look at all those beautiful curls."
Originally from Islington, London, England, Barker was eleven when she landed her first television appearance in a commercial for the Royal Bank of Scotland's "Money Sense" campaign. She studied Drama and Theatre Studies at school before dipping her toes in community theatre. In 2015, Barker played Mary in director Philip Breen's 2016 "York Mystery Plays."

Her most successful acting credit came towards the end of 2020 when she was cast to play Marina Thompson in "Bridgerton," alongside Jonathan Bailey, Phoebe Dynevor, and Simone Ashley. However, on May 26, 2022, during an emotional Instagram video, Barker revealed that she had been struggling with her mental health since the hit Netflix series.
"Mental health week is every week for me. Off my chest. I feel like I've not been completely honest, so this is for my followers. Time to be transparent. I've been struggling since 'Bridgerton,' this is the truth. Thank you all for supporting me; your love holds me up. #mentalhealthawareness," she captioned the post.
In the video, Barker updated fans on her mental health and revealed that she was hospitalized and about to be discharged after feeling better. However, in the name of honesty, Barker said that she had been "very unwell" for a long time and carried the weight of the world on her back before he decided to make a change and take a break.
