Jude Malcolm Yeun – Facts about the Life of Steven Yeun's Son
Jude Malcolm Yeun is the eldest child and only son of Hollywood star Steven Yeun. Although his parents initially shared glimpses of him as an infant, it wasn't long before they changed gears and guarded their son against the public eye. Two years after Jude, the couple made him a big brother with another baby.
Jude Malcolm Yeun was born into a loving family with a dad who couldn't wait to watch him grow older. The youngster was the first child born to actor Steven Yeun and his partner of over two decades, Joana Pak. Two years later, the couple expanded their family with the addition of his baby sister.
Since his birth, Jude has rarely graced the spotlight, except for a few recent public appearances. Although his parents have shared their most significant milestones as a couple, they took a step back in revealing too much about their family life on social media.

Jude Malcolm Yeun Arrived Shortly after His Parents' Wedding
Jude was born on March 17, 2017. His parents had tied the knot at Paramour State in California four months prior. Family, friends, and former castmates of his dad — including Melissa McBride, Norman Reedus (engaged to Diane Kruger), and Andrew Lincoln — attended the special day to celebrate the new union.
A few days after the wedding, the couple announced they were expecting with an adorable now-deleted Instagram post alongside a collage of photobooth images depicting Pak with a large baby bump. She and Yeun had been in a long-distance relationship for ten years before marrying.

Though "Jude" had an infamous biblical association, its origins are rooted in Latin. It is a gender-neutral name that translates to "praised." When Yeun appeared on "The Return of Superman," he revealed that Jude's Korean name was Jinyoung.
It was noted on the reality TV show that Yeun, who confessed he loved kids, was "very good" with children. As he watched and played with a toddler named William, he gushed, "Looking at him play, I think I'll fall completely in love when Jude starts playing like that."

In April 2019, he and Pak welcomed Jude's younger sibling, Ruth. Jude's father revealed his sister's name in 2021 as he spoke with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest about parenting two toddlers during quarantine on "Live with Kelly and Ryan."
Steven Yeun Prefers to Keep His Son Private
In February 2021, Jude was spotted enjoying a stroll with his family in their neighborhood in Pasadena. His dad was teaching him how to ride a bike while his mom walked hand-in-hand with his sister and their two family dogs. It was a rare sighting as the youngster was hardly seen in public.

Shortly after his birth, his parents shared glimpses of him on their respective Instagram pages. But, as of this writing, no photos of Jude or Ruth appear on Pak or Yeun's timeline.
However, two years after lamenting how difficult it was to parent toddlers amid lockdown restrictions, Yeun recently shed a little light on his current family life as he remarked:
"My entire life is Peppa Pig and Pokemon."

What Is Known about Jude Malcolm's Mother?
Jude's mother is a professional photographer who sometimes does shoots with her husband. She attended Columbia College, where she and Yeun first met while he worked with the Second City comedy theater. However, it would be a year before they saw each other again.
Yeun recalled the encounter, saying, "She walked into the bar where I was a really [expletive] bartender, and it was kismet. After that, I saw her every day for six months." Their romance ensued, though not before Yeun admittedly made some "lame [expletive] moves." Still, he and Pak are going strong well over a decade later.
