Mario Van Peebles is a Mexican-born American actor, director, writer, and producer known for directing award-winning hit films such as "Boss," "Damages," "Lost," "Sons of Anarchy," and "The Last Ship," among many others.

He is the son of director Melvin Van Peebles, a bigwig in Hollywood known for his films "Don't Play Us Cheap" and "The Shining."

Makaylo has followed in his father's and grandfather's footsteps. He is a renowned actor with credits in "Hard Luck" and "Being Mary Jane," alongside Gabrielle Union, as well as his father's movies "We the Party."

His red-carpet appearances are often in the company of his father or grandfather and other family members. He is also not shy about showing off his family and will post them regularly on his Instagram. Recently, the actor went on a trip to India and Thailand with his mother as the two bonded over unique experiences and travels.

Maya Van Peebles Is the Only One of Mario Van Peebles' Children Who Is Not Into Acting

Among Mario's five children, Maya is the only one that did not get into acting. According to her LinkedIn profile, she is a Development Associate at Special Needs Network Inc. She is also in the Sima Pi Omega sorority, which her mother, Lisa Vitello, joined on November 14, 2021.

Maya, who turned 30 in November 2022, shares a beautiful relationship with her family and often posts them on her Instagram. She has shared photos of herself with her mother and great-grandmothers.

On December 31, 2021, Maya married singer Tez Barclays at the Chester Washington Golf Course after what she wrote was "14 long months of planning."
