The England-born actor has only just passed his teenage years but did so with a bang as he got his first role on-screen in his final year as a teenager. In 2021, he was cast in "Domina" before joining "The Last Kingdom" in its final season of the following year.

Aside from the typical celebrity influences, Horrocks credits his parents as his most significant inspiration. He says they allowed him and his sister to fully express themselves and pursue the careers they enjoyed the most.

Ewan Horrocks Once Worked as a Lifeguard at a Local Swimming Pool

During an interview with Vanity Teen in April 2022, Horrocks gave some background details about himself. The then-20-year-old actor said he was born and raised in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom.

He grew up living with his parents and little sister and worked as a lifeguard at a local pool. Luckily for Horrocks, he never had to jump in and save anyone. His go-to music varied depending on the mood at that stage of his life, ranging from Arctic Monkeys to Kendrick Lamar to Johnny Cash. He listened to instrumentals when reading.

Horrocks's journey into his acting career began when he was very young. He grew passionate about the performing arts at an early age and soon began making short films with family and on stage. The hopeful actor joined the National Youth Theatre and enrolled at one of Manchester's acting schools.

While there, an agent picked him up, and his life as a professional actor began. A grateful Horrocks said, "Since then, I have been fortunate enough to continue working, and I'm ever thankful for having such supportive people around me."

Horrocks credits his parents as his greatest inspiration for the hard work they have put in for him to be where he is today. Additionally, film characters like Jack Sparrow and James Bond and actors like Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro have also influenced him.

Ewan Horrocks Auditioned for 'Stranger Things' around the Same Time He Was Cast in 'Domina'

As of April 2023, Horrocks has three acting credits: two television series and one film. His earliest performance on-screen was in "Domina," a historical drama based on the story of the life of Livia Drusilla, Roman Emperor Augustus Caesar's powerful wife. The show premiered in 2021.

Horrocks plays one of the lead characters called Drusus. However, while looking for his next employment, he auditioned for "Domina" and "Stranger Things" so fans could have seen the British actor in the Netflix show rather than Sky Atlantic.

The following year, Horrocks was cast in his second production, the final season of "The Last Kingdom." He portrayed Aelfweard and was thrilled for the opportunity, saying, "The cast is like one big family, so it's been so special becoming a part of it."

Ewan Horrocks Likes Theater and Calls the Audience Applauding the Nicest Feeling

Despite the roles that Horrocks has already played on popular television shows, he remains committed to continuing to sharpen his craft through continuing his enrollment at his acting school.

He added that he would love to do it whenever the opportunity comes and appreciates the moment the audience claps for the performer as the nicest feeling. Still, Horrocks also wants to focus on establishing a solid career in on-screen acting.
