Patrick Dempsey, 57, Collaborates with Porsche and Fans Notice He's 'Aging like a Fine Wine'
Patrick Dempsey is a Porsche Design fan. The actor, famously known for his role as Dr. Dereck Shepherd "McDreamy" in the drama series "Grey's Anatomy," not only promotes the eyewear company but has also been involved in the design process down to the last detail.
Dempsey's collaboration with Porsche Design follows their shared interest in pursuing perfection and fascination for racing. Dempsey's passion for racing made him collaborate with the eyewear company to create sunglasses designed for racing drivers.
The actor recently shared a series of photos promoting the lightweight sunglasses made from high-quality materials which offer maximum UV protection. Fans couldn't keep calm about how stunning he looked, and some couldn't help but comment about his handsomeness.
One fan said, "He aged like a fine wine. Forever McDreamy." Another added, "You are the best actor in the world." One fan also stares at the actor's photos whenever she has a bad day, and his smile makes her feel better.
But this is not the first time the actor has collaborated with Porsche Design. He once partnered with the company to create a limited-edition watch. Based on the company's 2011 Dashboard Automatic Chronograph, the watch is custom-made completely from titanium with push buttons and an easy-grip crown that offers optimal control.
The actor is obsessed with driving Porsche cars, and he bought his first car following his breakout role in the 1987 romance film "Can't Buy Me Love," where he played alongside Amanda Peterson and Courtney Gains.
During an interview, Patrick Dempsey revealed that he made $10,000 from the film and admitted that it was a lot of money for him then. He bought his first car for $9,000, and he considers it one of his most valued possessions to date.
Dempsey was born in January 1996 and is the youngest of three siblings. He began acting in his teens and has since gotten leading roles in several movies and TV series.
Some of the projects he has worked on include the Emmy Award-winning drama series "Grey's Anatomy," in which he co-starred with Ellen Pompeo Chandra Wilson and Justin Chambers, the 2007 adventure film "Enchanted, and the thriller series "Devils" among others.
