Since landing on-screen roles that are part of the LGBTQ+ community, fans have speculated about Anthony Keyvan's sexual orientation. While some believe he is queer, others think Keyvan is straight. However, the actor doesn't address rumors regarding such. He once opened up about a conversation with his father about being gay.

Born on August 13, 2000, Anthony Keyvan began his career at age five, making him a Hollywood veteran at 23. He has an extensive on-screen credit list across various networks, including Netflix, HBO, Nickelodeon, Hulu, CBS, ABC, Netflix, and more.

Some of his known appearances include "Fresh Off the Boat," "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," "Generation," "Major Crimes," and "Alexa & Katie," among many others. However, his role in "Love, Victor" made fans question his sexual orientation.

Anthony Keyvan’s Role in 'Love, Victor' Sparked Public Interest in His Sexual Orientation

Keyvan won many viewers' hearts with his role as Rahim in the Hulu series. The actor, of Iranian and Filipino-American descent, was proud to represent his nationality in the best way possible.

After playing the role, fans began questioning Keyvan's sexual orientation, particularly on the Reddit platform. Some speculated Keyvan's queerness.

Although he grew up in the US, Keyvan takes pride in being mixed-race. However, he knows that roles for his nationality don't come often. During an interview with Poptized, Keyvan revealed that an Iranian part had never crossed his path throughout his career. He added:

"It's always, you know, 'looking for Middle Eastern or Hispanic or Caucasian,' whatever I can fit in because I do look ambiguous. I can look like other people, but I've never, ever played a role that was authentically representing my heritage."

Besides representing his Iranian heritage, Keyvan portrayed the character of a gay Muslim exceptionally well in "Love, Victor," which, according to Pride, saved the show's second season. On-screen, Rahim struggles with coming to terms with his sexuality, given his parents' expectations and religion.

While Keyvan has accepted several LGBTQ+ characters, he doesn't openly discuss his orientation. However, he does share cute photos with other male actors on his Instagram account, often his co-stars in series.

By the sixth episode, he grows comfortable with his identity but finds difficulty in opening up to his Muslim parents. Rahim ends up hiding his sexuality from them.

After playing the role, fans began questioning Keyvan's sexual orientation, particularly on the Reddit platform. Some speculated Keyvan's queerness, while others believe the actor is straight. One Reddit user called out those guessing Keyvan's sexuality, deeming it rude.

Interestingly, Rahim is not the first LGBTQ+ role Keyvan landed on television. In the upcoming Netflix series "XO Kitty," Keyvan will also take on an openly gay Iranian-Filipino character named Quincy "Q" Shabazian.

But Anthony Keyvan Doesn't Speak about His Sexual Orientation

While Keyvan has accepted several LGBTQ+ characters, he doesn't openly discuss his orientation. However, he does share cute photos with other male actors on his Instagram account, often his co-stars in series.

Although he doesn't talk about his sexuality, Keyvan once opened up about his discussion with his father. He said:

"He told me that in the Muslim community, being queer is like forbidden. Not only is it not talked about, you could be persecuted for it. To have that idea of it just being such a taboo and have it being illegal in a lot of countries [...]."

Keyvan is one of the many Hollywood actors whose sexuality has been questioned by fans. Other actors include Mason Gooding, Richard Armitage, and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, most of whom initially kept their dating life private. However, Gooding later introduced his girlfriend to the public.
