The beautiful Daisy Duke from the 1980s comedy TV show "The Dukes of Hazzard" was seen in a new look after she gained weight. The 69-year-old actress also talked about her husband's death years after he passed away unexpectedly.

Lopez ended his life at 60, leaving his two daughters and devastated wife. April 30, 2010 started like most days in the Lopez household when Bach made breakfast for everyone. She recalled having a lot of things on her to-do list that day.
Since Lopez spent most of his day at work, the family usually bonded over breakfast because that was the only time they would see each other together.

Bach remembers kissing her husband in the kitchen that day and saying, "I love you." She revealed they used to express their love for each other daily because "it was a powerful affirmation of our feelings."
Since Bach had a busy schedule that day, she asked Lopez to drop their daughters at school, and he agreed. Bach kept looking at him as he walked towards the hallway. She revealed that her husband stopped and almost turned around, wanting to speak, but he didn't.
The last time Lopez's daughters saw him was when he dropped them to school and said, "Bye, I love you." Bach and her girls had no idea of what would happen to him.

Lopez died of suicide at home that day, leaving his wife and daughters "so devastated." According to Bach, her husband was anxious because of work, but nothing else bothered him.
The "African Skies" actress confessed she tried to find out the reason behind his suicide by reading books with her daughter. His death shocked her because he seemed to have no problems that would have led him to take his life.

"He was the love of my life. To have this happen was a sucker punch. I did not see this coming," Bach confessed.
On April 30, 2023, a photo of Bach with Peter surfaced on her Instagram account. She posted the picture with the heartbreaking caption:
"When you love someone til the end of time. Such a gift. Such a blessing from god.❤️"
Why Did Catherine Bach Gain Weight?
Bach was so fit in the '80s that her denim shorts from "The Dukes of Hazzard" became popularly known as Daisy Dukes. Her fans admired her slim figure and toned legs.
"I wasn't skinny from dieting; I was an athlete," she revealed of the secret behind her fitness then. While admitting she was never obsessed over her weight, she was very active. She would dance for three hours, hike, and bike, and that kept her in shape.

Almost two years after her husband's tragic death, the "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" star got candid about having gained weight. "I've put on a little weight, but so what?" she admitted.
And while she isn't working hard to get back to her Daisy Duke figure, she maintains her active lifestyle, along with her daughters. This includes yoga sessions that also serve as her bonding time with her girls.

According to Bach, Peter was "a gift from God," and she doesn't plan on falling in love again. Instead, she wants to build her relationship with her daughters. However, she is not discounting fate's hand in finding love for her again.
Peter died when Laura and Sophia were just little girls. Bach raised them single-handedly since then, trying her best to bond with them.
With time, the girls grew up to become beautiful women, and Bach's fans often see her posing with her gorgeous daughters on Instagram.
