Tim Robbins' Wife: The Actor's Marriage to Gratiela Brancusi and His New Romance
Although Susan Sarandon is the mother of Tim Robbins' children and was with the actor for over twenty years, Gratiela Brancusi is the only woman to have been Tim Robbins' wife. However, following the end of those relationships, Tim Robbins found love again with a much younger woman.
At 64, Robbins has enjoyed a successful career as an award-winning actor, producer, and director. He has multiple blockbusters, including his famous roles in "The Shawshank Redemption" and "Mystic River."
Fans have also come to know and love Robbins for his relationship with fellow Hollywood star Susan Sarandon. The couple spent years together and welcomed children, yet never married. During an interview, Sarandon revealed why they never walked down the aisle.

Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon Had Been Together for More Than Two Decades, Yet Were Never Married
After meeting and falling in love on the set of the 1988 romantic comedy "Bull Durham," Robbins and Sarandon—who had a twelve-year age gap, with him being younger—became celebrity couple favorites. They owned a duplex in Chelsea, New York, and were regulars on the west side.
Despite being Hollywood stars, the former power couple was often spotted running errands around the city or playing roller hockey, proving they were like every other couple in love in the Big Apple.
Shortly after their romance blossomed, Robbins and Sarandon welcomed their first child, John "Jack" Henry, on May 15, 1989. And while his parents' careers have been littered with award-winning performances in front of the camera, John chose to pursue a career behind the camera as an editor, writer, and director.

The youngest of their kids, Miles, was born on May 4, 1992. A Brown University graduate, Miles continued the family profession of being in the film industry and also pursued a music career.
Soon, Robbins and Sarandon became one of Hollywood's most enduring love stories. However, after three children, including Sarandon's daughter from a previous relationship, and twenty-three years together, Robbins and the "Maybe I Do" star announced the devastating news of their split.
During an interview in 2006, three years before her famous parting of ways from the "Mystic Rivers" actor, Sarandon candidly spoke about why she never made it down the aisle with Robbins and said:
"I think one of the reasons I haven't married Tim is that I hate that couples assumption— that once you're committed to someone, you stop treating each other as individuals. I like getting up knowing I choose to be with that person."

Susan Sarandon also alluded to the possibility that the relationship had run its course when she shared, "You bring people into your life at certain times. Maybe you have a relationship to have children, and you realize that it's fulfilled after that point."
While the actress admitted that she had been blindsided by the separation, never in her wildest dreams imagining the day would come, the public had just as much of a difficult time grappling with the breakup. People would stop the actress in the street, revealing they had "cried and cried."

Tim Robbins Kept His Only Marriage to Gratiela Brancusi a Secret
After his relationship with Sarandon ended, Robbins secretly married Gratiela Brancusi. Born Ioana Gratiela, Brancusi originates from Romania but is also of Roman and Greek descent. She studied Journalism at the University of Bucharest in Romania and became an esteemed member of The Actors' Gang Theater Ensemble.
She kickstarted her acting career fairly recently, landing roles in "1883" in 2021 and "Mayor of Kingstown" in 2022. Brancusi and Robbins were first romantically linked in 2018, when she was Robbins' plus-one to the premiere of his HBO series, "Here and Now."
The couple, who have a significant age gap, walked the carpet side by side, and while Brancusi wowed in a pink suit, few knew that the couple had already married by then. According to reports, they tied the knot on February 1, 2017, and were spotted out and about several times during their relationship.

In December 2019, they caught a hockey game with Miles, Sarandon's daughter Amurri Martino and her children, Marlowe and Major Martino. But by July 1, 2020, Robbins had filed for divorce, and it was finalized in 2021.
Upon reaching a settlement agreement, the ex-couple agreed to a confidentiality clause, keeping the reason behind their separation private. However, their divorce filings read:
"Irreconcilable differences have arisen between the parties, which have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, making it impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife. (They) acknowledge that their marital relationship cannot be restored or reestablished at this time."
Tim Robbins Found Love Again After His Divorce With Director Reed Morano
The same year his divorce from Brancusi was finalized, Sarandon's ex sparked romance rumors after he was spotted enjoying a nighttime stroll in London with a mystery woman in October 2021. The couple was still going strong the following year, as they were seen leaving the theater in London while on a date.
The mystery woman was later identified as cinematographer and Nebraska native Reed Morano, known for her work on "The Handmaid's Tale," the Oscar-nominated feature "Frozen River," and "The Skeleton Twins."

Unlike his previous relationship, Robbins and Morano are open about their romance, especially on social media. In May 2022, she shared a picture of her and Robbins in an affectionate embrace. In recent Instagram posts, Morano proved she and Robbins are still going strong after celebrating their second anniversary on February 2, 2023.
Later in the month, Morano shared a photo dump that featured the couple kissing, and in April 2023, she showed support for Robbins' career after joining him at the premiere of his new series, "Silo."
