Joseph Quinn's Parents and Love Life Are Unknown Though the Actor Sparked Doja Cat's Interest
Joseph Quinn is known for his role in Netflix's "Stranger Things," but he remains a man of mystery, and among those eager to learn more about the British actor is singer Doja Cat.
British heartthrob Joseph Quinn is on his way to major stardom after his breakthrough performance as Eddie Munson on the eery supernatural Netflix series, "Stranger Things."
But as interest in Joseph Quinn reaches a fever pitch, the media and his millions of fans are realizing how little they know about the mysterious actor. Joseph Quinn's parents and his love life are things he hasn't spoken about.

Joseph Quinn was born in London, and even his birthdate is a mystery, but he was reportedly born in 1993. He revealed he has been acting since he was a child.
Joseph attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, from which he graduated in 2015, and landed his first TV role in 2016, in BBC's "Dickensian" as Arthur Havisham.
Doja Cat had already blown her cover on Twitter, declaring that Joseph Quinn was "fine."
Joseph has a small part as a soldier in one of the episodes of "Game of Thrones," with fellow Britishers Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, and Maisie Williams.
After that, he starred in several British series like "Howards End," "Timewasters," "Les Misérables," and "Catherine the Great," in which he played Crown Prince Paul, the Empress' overshadowed son.
In 2018, he was part of the cast of the WWII horror film, "Overlord." Already a respected stage and TV actor, his breakthrough into international fame came when Joseph was cast in the fourth season of Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things."
Joseph's outstanding representation of Eddie Munson won him recognition and an MTV Award. There is more to come: fans can see Joseph in the prequel to "A Quiet Place," A Quiet Place: Day One," and in Ridley Scott's sequel to "The Gladiator."
Joseph Quinn Doesn't Speak about His Parents
One of the reasons so little is known about Joseph Quinn and his personal life is that he likes it like that. In interviews, he never speaks about his family and has minimal social media presence. He explained:
"I don't have Facebook, I used to, but I just spent all my time looking at other people's lives."
Joseph has Instagram and a Twitter account, but most of his posts are work orientated; for example, he posted extensively on Instagram about the new Dior fragrance he is representing.
There has been speculation that director AJ Quinn is Joseph's father. The man often retweets information about Joseph on his Twitter account, and his IMDB profile lists Joseph Quinn as his son.
A.J. Quinn, who describes himself on Twitter as a "director, producer, screen performance coach, video game voice director," is best known for two TV series, "Noah's Ark," from 1997, and "Barking!," from 2004, and the 2012 short murder mystery, "Rat Trap."
In a 2022 tweet on St Patrick's Day, AJ expressed his gratitude for being Irish and shared a photo of his Irish passport. On May 8, 2023, AJ shared a video of Joseph accepting his MTV Award for Breakthrough Performance on "Stranger Things."
Joseph Quinn's discretion regarding his personal life may be due to some advice from Academy Award-winner Olivia Colman, with whom he worked on the play "Mosquitoes." He revealed:
"Olivia Colman said to me once, 'To have an extraordinary career, you need to have an ordinary home life.' I mean, she didn't say you need to, but it helps. She has a very lovely family; she's been with her partner since uni."
Doja Cat Thinks Joseph Quinn Is 'Fine'
But one part of Joseph's life has become very public: Doja Cat has a crush on him, and his "Stranger Things" costar Noah Schnapp spilled the tea on TikTok, revealing the singer has asked for an introduction.
Doja Cat had already blown her cover on Twitter, declaring that Joseph Quinn was "fine." In a mock interview on "The Tonight Show" with Schnapp, Joseph showed up as a surprise.
The singer was struck by shyness and couldn't say a word. What happened after they met is yet another Joseph Quinn mystery, but he plays a mean guitar solo, as he proved on "Stranger Things," so he and Doja may have much in common.
