Kasey Lee Akins Is Now a Mother & Wife – Facts about Thomas Rhett's Sister

Despite having two family members in the music industry, Kasey Lee Akins has led a life out of the spotlight. However, she often uses social media to document her life as a wife, a first-time mom, and her close bond with her family.

Kasey Lee Akins is the daughter of Paige Braswell Lankford and famous country singer Thomas Rhett Akins Sr. Before their daughter was born, the former couple first welcomed a son, Thomas Rhett Akins Jr., who followed in his father's footsteps and pursued a career in the music industry.

Although Kasey Lee Akins didn't inherit the performance gene from her famous father, he did pass down his love of his music to his daughter. In honor of Father's Day in 2017, she revealed that her father exposed her and her brother to all genres of music since they were little.

Kasey Lee Akins' Parents Separated When She Was Younger

Kasey grew up in a house where her father almost always played music. Her older brother once revealed that many country artists would often be blaring out of the Akins household. And when Thomas Sr. wasn't playing country music, he was cultivating his son's love of Hip Hop.

He would play sounds from Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, DMX, Hank Williams, 50 Cent, Nelly, Charley Pride, and more. However, her and her brother's life changed when their parents parted ways. Thomas Jr. was nine, and Kasey was a little younger then. Her brother shared:

"I don't want to get too detailed and personal, but my parents got divorced when I was about nine. A lot of that had to do with my dad being on the road and that disconnect."

Despite her parent's separation and her father often being away, Kasey has maintained a close bond with both her parents. She sometimes celebrates her father on Father's Day, and her mother celebrates her on Instagram.

In one of her mother's posts, she shared a snap of her and Kasey in honor of her daughter's birthday. "You are the absolute best daughter..." Paige's post read in part.

Kasey is also close to her big brother, who celebrated her earning her degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2017. "You did it, @kasey_akins," Thomas Jr. captioned the post. Three years later, Kasey went from a college graduate to a newlywed.

Kasey Lee Akins Got Married in 2020 and Later Welcomed a Son

In 2020, Kasey turned to Instagram to reveal that she and her husband, Conner Brandon, had tied the knot on October 10, 2020. In the first slide of the two-image Instagram post, she and Conner wore beaming smiles as she wowed in a sleeveless wedding dress and veil.

In the second slide, she gave fans a closer look at her stunning gown, which featured a slit covered with sheer floral fabric. Her husband also studied at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before furthering his education at the Tennessee Technological University.

Conner now holds the position of Director of Sales at ArbiMed Inc., a medical product data management company. Two years after tying the knot, the couple welcomed their son, Campbell James Brandon, on August 13, 2022.

In the first slide of the post introducing their child, the first-time mom shared adorable snaps of her sleeping son, followed by a picture of their family in the hospital. She sweetly gazed at her son in the last slide as he rested on her chest.

A month after taking her son home from the hospital, Kasey and her newborn posed for the camera as they spent quality time with Thomas Jr. After welcoming two little girls, Willa Gray Akins, and Ada James Akins, Thomas Rhett Akins Jr.'s family grew again following the birth of his third child, Lennon Love Akins, in 2020. The country singer shared:

"Me and my sister @kasey_akins_brandon momming and dadding at a high school football game on my first Friday night at home since I don't know when. Life is good..."

While Kasey's current occupation is unclear, in 2020, she took to Instagram to promote Plexus Slim, a Plexus Worldwide Inc. product that helps to "improve your gut health and support weight loss." Her mother is also an ambassador for the brand.
