Does Paapa Essiedu Have a Wife? The Actor Has Been in a Long-Term Relationship with Actress Rosa Robson
Paapa Essiedu has been with his partner for nearly a decade, and the couple appears to be going strong. Although they have maintained their privacy, they walked arm-in-arm at a red-carpet event not too long ago.
London-born Paapa Essiedu debuted onscreen in 2013, appearing for a brief role in the mystery series "Utopia." He also played The Duke of Burgundy the following year in a film adaptation of Shakespeare's "King Lear."
Much of his work was Shakespeare-central at the beginning of his career. In 2016, two years after the film adaptation, he joined the cast of "King Lear" at The Royal Shakespeare Company, this time portraying Edmund.

He soon starred in a reimagining of "A Midsummer’s Night" and a live recording of "Hamlet" at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He continued building his onscreen resume in the following years, appearing in several TV shows like "The Miniaturist" with Anya Taylor-Joy and Romola Garai.
In 2020, Essiedu won the role that would catapult him to worldwide stardom as Kwame in "I May Destroy You." The multi-award-winning drama series also starred Michaela Coel and Stephen Wight.
His most recent credits come from the crime show "Gangs of London," co-starring Joe Cole and Sope Dirisu, and the sci-fi series "The Lazarus Project." For the actor, work remains at the forefront of his public persona, but he, too, has a flourishing yet private personal life.

Paapa Essiedu Is in a Long-Term Relationship and Is Not Married
Essiedu will have marked seven years of romance with his longtime partner, Rosa Robson, by the end of 2023. He rarely speaks of his relationship with her but once revealed that they lived together and described her as "lovely."
The couple has no children, and little is known about their romance. Robson first appeared on his Instagram timeline in 2018, but he has since dedicated the page mainly to work-related content.
Robson's Instagram account is private, but she and Essiedu have graced the red carpet together a few times. In February 2023, they attended the 76th British Academy Film Awards at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London.
She looked stunning in a blue floor-length gown, with her hair slicked back in a low bun, while her partner stood at her side, looking dapper in a black tux with a white turtleneck top underneath.

Paapa Essiedu's Girlfriend, Rosa Robson, Is an Actress like Her Famous Partner
Robson also works in the same industry as her partner as an actress. She is also a comedian, a writer, and a voice artist. The Cambridge University graduate is part of a comedic duo called Beard, chiefly recognized for winning the 2015 London Best Show Award at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The 31-year-old's onscreen appearances began in 2015, with the first being on "Nick Helm’s Heavy Entertainment," playing The Girlfriend. That year, she starred as Louise Cabaye in "Black Mountain Poets."
A lengthy hiatus followed, and she returned to screens in 2021, taking several minor roles in TV shows and becoming a series regular in "Buffering." She also shared the screen with "Maleficent" star Tom Riley in 2022's "She Is Love."

Paapa Essiedu Thinks He Will Become a Great Dad
Essiedu shared his thoughts on the prospect of fatherhood when he briefly spoke about Robson, saying, "I think I'd be a good dad when the time is right." He opened up further about the matter in another interview, noting:
"When I think about having children, there’s a realisation that your kids will have a very, very different life to you."

Essiedu alluded to his upbringing, which was difficult due to being poor. His parents were from Ghana; his mother worked in fashion, and his dad returned to his home country when Essiedu was an infant.
His father died when he was 14, and his mother passed during his final year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The actor was genuinely grateful for them both and hoped to re-create the dynamic he had with his parents with his children.
