Lamar Odom's Kids: More about Lamar Odom Jr., Destiny Odom & Their Little Brother Who Passed Away
Lamar Odom's kids, Destiny Odom and Lamar Odom Jr., showed remarkable maturity and grace when they were propelled into the spotlight due to their dad being on reality TV and his drug issues.
The Los Angeles Clippers drafted Lamar Odom in 1999, a year after the birth of his eldest child. He spent time with Miami Heat, won two championships during his tenure at the Los Angeles Lakers, and was on the Dallas Mavericks for a season.
He ended his NBA career at the Clippers in July 2013 and had a three-month stint with a European team. The athlete has also been on many reality shows, including "Khloe & Lamar," and had three kids with his former girlfriend, Liza Morales.

Lamar Odom's Only Daughter Is Destiny Odom, Who Is a Promising Model
Lamar was a freshman at the University of Rhode Island when he welcomed Destiny on August 6, 1998, with his then-girlfriend Liza, their first of three children.
When Destiny was 12, her life changed. Khloe Kardashian, the woman she used to watch on television "religiously" from "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," became her stepmother. She reflected on the drastic shift in their family life in a 2017 interview:
"When your dad's an NBA player, that's already enough, but when he's marrying a reality TV star, things are so public, and you don't have a private life anymore."
At school, the pre-teen had to deal with snide comments from her peers, which only escalated when her father's drug addiction became public knowledge. People who she considered friends made remarks about her father on social media.
A turning point in her relationship with her father came when he survived a coma brought on by a drug overdose. A group of family and close friends held an intervention for the former basketball great. His then 17-year-old daughter recalled the confrontation:
"I gave him the ultimatum that it was rehab or me not speaking to him anymore, and I think that hit him really hard."

During his hospitalization, Khloe put their pending divorce, which was brought in part due to his serial infidelity, on hold to be by his side. Destiny said that those in the inner circle were "confused" by this move,
"Their relationship is very toxic."
Lamar, who headed his daughter's request to get clean, hopes his past mistakes will be a teachable moment for his children. As a teenager, Destiny had already said that seeing her dad's addiction struggle would keep her from ever touching drugs.

"I've learned to keep going and to keep fighting," the fashion enthusiast revealed in September 2022. Destiny, who had moved back in with her father, continued:
"He's such a fighter; he is so strong. So many tales of what to do and not to do, but I'm so proud of him."
Lamar enjoyed rebuilding a connection with his daughter through small acts like going for a walk. "Just having her next to me as much as possible is like a dream come true," he said.
Destiny and her dad went for an AquaGold facial before her debut as a runway model. She opened the Couture Fighting Cancer's 2nd Annual Fashion Show at MainRo in Los Angeles on September 24, 2022.
The teenager later deleted the comment.
Booking her first runway at a cancer charity event was special to Destiny Odom, as she had lost her grandmother to the disease. The model admires the supermodel icons Naomi Campbell and Iman and refuses to be "boxed in" as she builds her career.

Lamar Odom's Son Lamar Odom Jr. Tries to Keep Away from the Spotlight
Lamar's lack of communication with his family led to an unfortunate public spat with his then-teenage son. Lamar Jr. called out his father in the comments of his engagement post to Sabrina Parr on November 11, 2019.
The then 17-year-old commented that he found out about the significant moment in his father's life on social media with the rest of the world.
He revealed that family and friends disapproved of the woman who had only been in his father's life for four months, and it was a shame they had to find out this way.

The teenager later deleted the comment and took ownership of his actions a few hours later via his Instagram account. Lamar Jr. admitted to being "hurt and caught off-guard" by his father's post but that he has "nothing but love" for the man "and wants what's best for him."
According to a HollywoodLife insider, the two Lamars spoke immediately after the incident and had "a heart-to-heart." Lamar Jr., who is said to be a college student, has accompanied his dad and sister to events but tends to keep out of the public eye.

Lamar Odom Lost His Youngest Child Jayden Odom When He Was Just Six Months Old
At six months old, Lamar and Liza's son Jayden Odom died from sudden infant death syndrome in June 2006. The athlete had been out partying the night his son was rushed off to hospital and later spoke about the impact on him:
"I think everything probably picked up at that point with the drugs. Even subconsciously. You don't even know why you're doing it at that point. I think subconsciously, you make yourself an addict because of the trauma that you're going through."
Lamar Odom's children might have more siblings in the future. "Twin boys, then I'm out of the game," the athlete said in October 2019. He was sure that his partner Sabrina was up for the challenge. However, the pair are no longer together.
In January 2020, he felt another painful shock he equated to losing his son. After the death of his former Lakers teammate and friend Kobe Bryant in a helicopter crash, Lamar told a news program that he had not "felt a pain or a shock like this" since Jayden passed away.
