Hannah John-Kamen Keeps Her Parents & Siblings Out of the Spotlight

Hannah John-Kamen, the youngest of three siblings, comes from a loving family with diverse career paths, including one sibling who joined her in the entertainment industry.

Hannah John-Kamen is an actress whose career kick-started with a voice-acting gig for the videogame, "Dark Souls," during her second year at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

She has since appeared in several high-profile productions, including a return on "Dark Souls II," and starring roles in "Black Mirror," "Game of Thrones," and "Ready Player One." But the actress's flair for performing started showing when she was much younger.

Hannah John-Kamen's Background: A Creative Upbringing Supported by Her Parents

She drew her first breath in Anlaby, East Yorkshire, on September 7, 1989, born to Astri and Johnny John-Kamen. Astri and Johnny had welcomed two children, an elder son, and a daughter, before Hannah.

The couple was frequently the audience to their youngest child's mini-shows. Hannah, raised in the UK, loved performing for her parents and friends. She would write plays and even charge her friends' parents a small fee whenever they joined her family for dinner. It was this dynamic that allowed her to thrive.

Hannah John-Kamen's Mother Is a Former Model, and Her Father Is a Psychologist

Hannah's mother, Astri, is of Norwegian ethnic origin. She worked as a model long before she welcomed Hannah. It's unknown when this career began, but Hannah noted that it continued into her older brother's (also her eldest sibling's) childhood.

The actress recalled seeing her mother's pictures from "back in the day" and thought her mother was beautiful. "It was more my brother's childhood before I came along that that was what she was doing, but looking back at old pictures, it was very, very glamorous," she said.

Hannah's father, Johnny, is of Nigerian origin and has worked as a forensic psychologist. As Hannah recalled, Johnny knew how to leave his profession at the doorstep and don his "dad hat" when he was home. He and Astri nurtured their children's passions.

"My parents are so supportive of whatever we want to do and completely nurtured that, and they’re so proud of that as well," the starlet once explained. She added that her sister became a doctor, and her brother is a musician.

Hannah John-Kamen's Family and Love Life Are Rarely In the Spotlight

Hannah has guarded her family's privacy as much as hers, especially her romantic life. Still, the 33-year-old was once linked to fellow actor Lucien Laviscount. Lucien is best known for his role as Alfie in "Emily In Paris," opposite Lily Collins and Ashley Park.

He also appeared in "Supernatural," and starred in the comedy-crime series, "Snatch," with Rupert Grint. In December 2021, Lucien was seen holding hands with Hannah during a night out in London.

The pair, donning evening attire, were leaving the Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall when paparazzi spotted them. About a week before, Lucien was seen flirting with singer Jesy Nelson. However, the nature of his relationship with Hannah remains unknown.
