Wynonna Judd's Romantic Timeline & Her Happily Ever-after with Cactus Moser

Before she met her prince charming, Judd was previously married twice. The first man she said "I do" to was businessman Arch Kelley III in 1996. The pair had dated for several years prior to their nuptials and welcomed two children together - their son, Elijah Judd Kelley, born in 1994, and their daughter, Grace Pauline Kelley, born in 1996.

After finalizing the divorce from her first ex-husband in 2003, the "Love Can Build A Bridge" singer married her former bodyguard D. R. Roach. Of her second marriage, Judd expressed that the ties between her and Roach were solid and lasting because the two had already been co-workers and friends for ten years. However, in 2007, she filed for divorce from Roach.

Although Judd had been married to her first husband since the 90s, Moser had actually known her longer than her first husband Kelley, as the two had been acquainted since the 1980s. At the time, Moser was playing drums for her music group, The Judds, during one of their concert tours. However, the couple only got married in June 2012, a day that Judd described in her 2023 documentary as one of the best in her life, saying:

"Marrying Cactus was one of the greatest days of my life because I've never trusted someone and loved someone so simultaneously like I love Cactus."

As far as the wedding guest list was concerned, only Judd's two kids, Elijah and Grace, and Moser's three kids from his previous marriage, Cahl, Wyatt, and Sunshine, made an appearance. Many wondered why Judd's mother and sister were not in attendance. According to the country singer, she had opted to leave them off the guest list because:

"I didn't want it to be about anyone but Cactus and me. Because to me, at the end of the day, it's the children, Cactus, and me. I was so concerned about making this special for them, everything [else] fell away."

The June wedding was catapulted by Moser's romantically personal proposal, which happened on Christmas Eve. In her documentary, where Moser also makes an appearance, Judd gushed about how perfect the moment had been—just the two of them, alone on their farm.

As mentioned earlier in the story, the happy couple's newlywed bliss was somewhat short-lived, as Moser found himself at the epicenter of an accident two months following their vow exchange. The drummer and Judd were riding on separate bikes when Moser's crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

Judd and Moser now celebrate 11 years of marriage, and they continue to thrive and stay committed to each other through their everlasting love.

The car collision rendered Moser's left leg completely severed, and he was rushed to a Rapid City, S.D. hospital as soon as paramedics arrived on the scene. Tragically, his leg was past the point of being saved, and doctors had to amputate him from above the knee.

The damage to Moser was so extreme that reports stipulated that he had to have additional surgery on his hands. In a statement released by Judd following the accident, she stated:

"The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family, and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply, and I will not leave his side."

Though the near-fatal motorcycle accident was an extremely challenging time for the couple, as Judd promised, she never left Moser's side. Fifteen months following the accident, Moser hopped back onto his bike and hit the road, not letting fear prohibit him from doing what brings him joy.

His doting wife was elated to see him conquer his tragedy and use it as a source to inspire others. Judd described her husband as an overachiever and a beacon of hope to countless others who have also lost limbs.

Despite the tragic incident, the happy couple has remained by each other's side throughout the highs and lows in life. Judd and Moser now celebrate 11 years of marriage, and they continue to thrive and stay committed to each other through their everlasting love.
