Justin Roiland's sister, Amy Roiland, was ironically dubbed "the best of the Roiland siblings," following her brother's domestic abuse and sexual harassment allegations. However, the blogger was in hot waters for trying to pay a photography group with social media exposure.

In November 2022, a TikTok creator going by @smacmcreanor posted a video on the app, dancing to an angry voice note. The user provided context with a caption explaining that a client (an influencer) wanted a free photoshoot.

"Who runs this account? Are you ninety years old and not know how influencers work? That’s hilarious. You guys are really out of touch, it’s crazy," the lady said. Another creator later revealed that it was the voice of Justin Roiland's sister, Amy Roiland.

Justin Roiland's Sister, Amy Roiland, Never Addressed the Controversy

Amy's rant on the voice note is not the only time she blasted the photographer for refusing to work for free. She received much backlash on social media as more creators shared similar experiences with influencers who felt entitled to free labor.

Amy never addressed the controversy, but soon after her alleged actions went viral, she deactivated her business's TikTok account, put her Twitter page on private, and turned off the comments on her Instagram, which have since been turned back on.

Amy Roiland Started Fashion Blogging in 2013 after Abandoning Her Acting Career

Amy debuted onscreen in 2005, playing Kelly Price in a Western drama titled "Truce." She landed minor roles in several movie shorts and series in the following years, including her brother's comic mini-series "Classroom."

She also appeared in the 2014 films "Ever" and "Expelled," but her onscreen career halted the following year. Amy's last credit came from the 2015 short animation "Abbie's Egg." By then, she had successfully launched her blog, A Fashion Nerd.

In 2014, she founded FashionTap, intending to bring the "entire fashion industry together as one." The app was a platform for fashion influencers, bloggers, designers, and enthusiasts to network and make shopping a smoother experience. Unfortunately, however, FashionTap closed down in 2018.
