- He attended the world premiere of "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One" and showed off a new haircut.
- Cruise's long, wavy hair earned mixed reviews, with some thinking the actor was trying too hard to stay young, but others thought he was aging well.
Action star Tom Cruise has entered his 60s but shows no signs of stopping. Cruise is still one of Hollywood's leading men with a career spanning over four decades.
Recently, the actor was in Rome promoting his upcoming and highly anticipated film "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One."

He showed up with a new hairdo, ditching the clean haircut with a side fade and letting it grow out. The "Top Gun" star's current hair is much longer and resembles a grown-out mullet. The front has fringes while the rest of the hair extends beyond his ears. It was styled to hold a shape that framed his face.
Cruise used to rock long hair during his younger days but has experimented with several hair lengths throughout his career. And his latest do seems to be getting some flak.
Stunning fans on the red carpet in Rome wearing a blue three-piece suit, Cruise's long hair has received mixed reviews from fans and critics. Some people think Cruise is trying to hold on to his youth, but some believe he is just living out the rest of his golden years and could still rock any look he wants.

Besides showing off his new haircut and dapper suit, Cruise had a few interviews and gave a look into what he's been up to during his free time. Since he rarely gets time off, the "Mission Impossible" star gushed over attending Janet Jackson's concert. Asked what kind of concertgoer he was, he said he gets straight into singing along and cheering.
But according to Cruise, any performance by Jackson will have you dancing and singing along. He even urged everyone to see the singer perform. "I'm right in there, yeah, come on! It's Janet; she's a legend," he gushed.
Cruise might be a big movie star, but he still gets starstruck, despite Jackson being his friend. The singer shared a picture with him while they were backstage at her "Together Again" tour.
Jackson captioned the photo, "T, it was so good seeing you and nice spending some time together." The next question for Cruise was how the nickname came about.
But the actor did not have any story behind it, nor did he care what Jackson called him. "Look, she can call me whatever she wants. She's Janet Jackson! She's a goddess. She is a goddess," he expressed.

Seeing that this is Cruise's seventh film from the "Mission Impossible" franchise, the actor was asked how it felt to be still going strong after so many years.
The "Risky Business" star was in awe of the success he had built. He remembered being four years old and already knowing he wanted to make movies and travel the world.

Therefore, looking back at 18-year-old Cruise starring in "Taps" to making the seventh "Mission Impossible" film is absolutely surreal to the action legend.
Fans' Reactions to Tom Cruise's New Haircut
As the images from the "Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One" world premiere made their rounds online, fans weighed in on Cruise's new haircut—or lack of.
Not everyone was a fan; commenters remarked that Cruise needed a haircut, but others were just shocked. "What happened with his hair[?]" asked a user. "Get a haircut, dude," advised another.

In addition to his haircut, others brought up his aging. Someone commented that Cruise was not aging well, but many of the actor's fans came to his defense.

Others countered that Cruise looked nothing like 60. In fact, one replied, "I thought he was aging well." However, even when some agreed that the action legend still looked young, they believed the haircut was making him look old.
Much Ado about Tom Cruise’s Puffy Face
Last year, Cruise was also the subject of scrutiny when he and his son Connor were spotted sitting front row at a baseball game, watching the San Francisco Giants play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Fans were excited to see the "The Mummy" star appear with his son but could not get past how red and puffy his face looked. Some thought the actor was completely unrecognizable, while others believed the swelling was a result of fillers.
One person said, "Tom Cruise has either gained weight or has a face full of fillers. I'm going with the fillers." Some continued with the same remarks insinuating that Cruise had "some awful work done." Another added, "This looks like someone wearing Tom Cruise's face."
For some, Cruise's swollen face looked like an allergic reaction, while one even compared him to a chipmunk. However, Cruise has a solid fan base, and many came to his defense again.

Those who defended the actor slammed haters for ridiculing Cruise just because he put on some weight, something everyone is entitled to do. They also claimed it was no one's concern what happened to the actor, whether its fillers or simply an innocent weight gain.
