On June 25, 2023, Van Sant shared on her late husband's Instagram story a series of throwback photos in celebration of the couple's wedding anniversary.
One of the posts included an image of Williams and Van Sant on their wedding day. The two embraced each other and smiled broadly. Van Sant wrote over the picture, "Happy anniversary, honey! 35 years."
Van Sant also shared a picture of her and Williams in Bali celebrating their first anniversary. Aside from the throwback pictures, she also shared a recent image of her and her late husband posing with their little dog, and they all smiled in the snow.
Williams, who had more than 120 credits to his name in his decades-long-acting career, died when his motorcycle crashed with a 2008 Honda SUV.
As per investigators, the driver of the SUV was turning left into a parking lot and didn't see the actor's motorcycle coming, leading to the unfortunate accident.

On June 19, 2023, Williams' family and friends came together to give the actor a beautiful send-off. They honored his memory in an intimate ceremony in Vermont. Barry McPherson, who was Williams' agent for 15 years, said the ceremony was beautiful and filled with love.
Williams and his wife got married in 1988 and spent close to 35 years in marriage before his death.

The couple welcomed their two kids, Gill, a son, in 1992 and Ellie, a daughter, in 1998. They lived a happy and quiet life in Vermont with their kids and two dogs, Woody and Nash.
Williams fell in love with Vermont when he and his parents used to vacation there. The actor's dad bought a house there, and Williams spent more of his time in the region.

When Van Sant and Williams were courting, they used the actor's parent's house in Weston. Williams noted, "I just fell in love with Vermont, and I fell equally in love with Weston."
Eventually, the "Deep Rising" star and his wife bought their own house in Vermont, which they lived in together for 37 years. Now his wife, daughter, and son stay in the same house after his death.
Williams was happy living in Vermont with his family, and even when the pressure to stay in Hollywood was high, he didn't give in. The actor said:
"Every day I wake up so grateful to see the view that I see out of my window and to be living up here. I think very few people are lucky as I am to say, I love where I live. I don't have any fantasies of being somewhere else. I have everything I want and need in Vermont."

Williams frequently shared pictures of his wife in their home in Vermont. In one picture he shared on his Instagram, Van Sant was relaxing in their living room. He wrote, "Pam just redid our living room. I love what she did. Actually, I love her. Lucky me."
In May 2023, the actor also shared a selfie of the two of them with one of their dogs. Williams and his wife posed near a jet and were all smiles. He captioned the beautiful photo, "Hey, all you moms! Happy Mother's Day! 👏👏👏.”

On another Mother's Day, Williams shared a throwback photo of his family. Van Sant was holding their young daughter while Williams carried their young son. Williams captioned the cute family picture, "Thank you Pam for raising these wonderful humans into the great people they are today. Happy Mother's Day ❤️.”
On March 8, 2023, Williams shared a beautiful throwback picture of his wife, wished her a "Happy Woman's Day," and called her "my girl for life."

Williams' and Van Sant's first child Gill, is now 31. Gill often accompanied his dad and mom on the red carpet from a young age.
His most recent red-carpet event was in September 2019 when he and his dad attended a special 40th-anniversary screening of "Hair" at New York City's Metrograph Theatre.
Gill is a multitalented individual who has showcased his skills in acting, music, and art. In 2015, he appeared in a few short films and even featured with Williams on a project.

Gill's father shared on Twitter, "Acting with my son Gill today Life is perfect," alongside a picture of father and son in matching tuxedos.
In 2015, Williams was so happy that his son graduated from New York University that he posted a sweet family picture to celebrate the milestone and captioned it, "My son graduated from NYU. My daughter is 16, my wife is the best, and at 63, I am content. Lucky."
After graduating, Gill ventured into music and shared his beatboxes and snippets of songs on social media. He also started drawing and sharing pictures of his work.

In 2020, he shared his drawing of George Floyd and other victims of police brutality and wrote, "No Justice, No Peace." Williams commented on the post in support, writing, "My son did this. Proud papa."
Williams' and Van Sant's daughter, Ellie, is now 24. Just like Gill, Ellie visited sets with her dad and went to red-carpet events with him.
Ellie attended the University of Vermont, and when she graduated, she moved to Los Angeles to spend quality time with her dad.
