Treat Williams' Endearing Marriage to His Wife, Pam Van Sant
Treat left behind his wife of over three decades, Pam Van Sant. Like her husband, she was also a showbiz star. She is an actress known for "American Masters."
In the series, which also has Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Ruby Dee, Mike Nichols, and more as part of its cast, she worked as an assistant to Joyce Chopra in 1995, then had a role as the Kind Lady that same year, before becoming an assistant producer of one episode in 1999.
Sant was born on February 10, 1955, and she crossed paths with the actor while working as a waitress at a New York restaurant. They started dating and married in 1988. The couple led a private life in different cities and welcomed two kids.
Before his unexpected passing, Treat shared memorable moments with his spouse on social media. On Mother's Day in May 2021, he posted a throwback photo of the beaming couple and wrote on Twitter: "Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful wife Pam."
The actor again paid tribute to his wife on Mother's Day in May 2023. "Happy Mother's Day Pam. You raised two extraordinary people. What a great mom you are. I am grateful," he penned alongside a family picture of the couple and their kids.
Treat also gushed about the mother of his children on Instagram on the special day. He shared a selfie of them posing in front of a plane and captioned his post: "Hey you all moms! Happy Mother's Day!"
The actor reposted the same image he shared on Twitter with the couple and the kids and thanked Sant for bringing up their children and molding them into the people they are today. He ended it by wishing her a "Happy Mother's Day" alongside a heart emoji.
Meet Treat Williams & Pam Van Sant's Two Kids
Treat Williams and his wife welcomed a son and a daughter in their marriage. Their eldest child Gill Williams was born in December 1992, and their youngest, Ellie Williams, arrived in September 1998.
From a young age, Gill accompanied his parents to public events and walked the red carpet with them. So, it is no surprise that he followed in their acting footsteps by appearing in short films in 2015, including starring alongside his famous dad in one project.
He graduated from New York University in August 2015, and his father was incredibly proud as he gushed about the milestone online. Following his graduation, Gill began a music career and is a talented artist who usually posts his work on social media.
Meanwhile, like him, his younger sister Ellie also grew up in the spotlight. She was photographed by her dad on the "Chicago Fire" set in October 2015, who was amazed by her patience.
Ellie graduated from the University of Vermont and relocated to Los Angeles, where her father visited her. The father-and-daughter duo recently visited Universal Studios, and Ellie took images from their time out. She shares more outings on her Instagram page, which has over 3,000 followers.
