Christopher Gorham and His Wife Have Three Kids & One Was Diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome

Christopher Gorham revealed that his wife, Anel Lopez Gorham, is a "superhero" as she juggles her career and caring for their disabled son. The couple welcomed three children and noticed something might be wrong with their eldest when he was in the second grade.

Since meeting at UCLA, Christopher Gorham and his wife have celebrated many years of marriage and often document their loving relationship on social media. The actor has been candid about how he and his wife juggle their careers and family as parents to a son with Asperger's Syndrome.

However, they also share joyous moments, such as graduations and celebrating the legalization of interracial marriage on Loving Day as a mixed-race couple.

Christopher Gorham's Wife Is a "Superhero" Mom and Actress

Anel has an acting career that dates back to 1997 when she landed a role in "Shopping for Fangs" starring John Cho. More recently, she portrays Deborah in an upcoming project, "Priority Boarding."

Off camera, Anel is a devoted mother and wife, and Christopher revealed that she is often left to hold down the fort whenever he takes on projects. The actor shared:

"My wife is a superhero because I'm only home for a couple of nights every week or week and a half. She's got to juggle this all on her own."

In 2011, Christopher starred in "Covert Affair," which saw him spend time away from his family. "It would definitely improve my quality of life if we could shoot in L.A., which would be closer to my two sons, daughter, and wife," he said.

And more recently, he was set to return to acting for the second season of the popular Netflix series, "Lincoln Lawyer." As a busy actor, Christopher revealed that it was "hard" to balance his career and his disabled son's needs despite having a "superhero" wife and additional assistance.

However, he has also shared the joyous moments in the family of five's lives, including their second son Ethan's high school graduation in 2022. That same year, Anel revealed that Ethan was committing to DePaul University in Chicago to study Business.

Christopher and Anel are also parents to a daughter, and in 2022, Anel shared a photo of the mother-daughter duo donning "#powrsuits." The actress also shared a picture of her daughter and her horse smiling that year.

In honor of Loving Day in 2021, Christopher shared a throwback of him and his wife on their wedding day and shared in part:

"#LovingDay Just 54 years ago, my marriage would have been illegal. @msanellopez and I would have been "criminals," just like Mildred and Richard Loving were thought to be by many."

Christopher and his wife have become regulars on each other's Instagram pages. In 2021, he brought Anel a slice of her hometown in the form of a pizza for their anniversary, and in July 2022, Anel shared a snap of the smiling couple soaking up the sun in Los Angeles.

In September 2022, she posted a photo of the couple posing in front of a beautiful skyline before documenting their 2022 Christmas surrounded by family and friends.

More recently, Christopher and his wife Valentine's Day with a night full of salsa dancing, and in March, the actor paid tribute to his wife on her birthday and shared in part, "To know @msanellopezgorham is to love her. A loyal friend, a dedicated wife, and mother."
