She then explained that her father visited them often because he lived ten minutes from where she and her husband, singer John Legend, lived. Chrissy Teigen's parents finalized their divorce in May 2020. According to the court documents, Chrissy Teigen's parents got married on May 10, 1983, and their separation date was January 1, 2017.

The grounds for their divorce were cited as irreconcilable differences, and they waived their entitlement to spousal support. In addition to Chrissy, Ron, and Vilailuck are also the parents of Tina, whom Vilailuck had from a previous relationship.

While Chrissy now appreciates her mother's cooking, she confessed to feeling embarrassed by her mom's Thai cooking as a kid. The successful cookbook author admitted that her mother's dishes had a distinct appearance and aroma, which made her feel embarrassed during her younger years.
