Colleen Hoover's Relationship with Her Husband

In 2019, Colleen shared a sweet post narrating the timeline she had known her husband, William. The successful author explained that although they attended the same daycare as children, they had never interacted since her husband was older. She wrote:

"We went to the same daycare. He was one of the older kids who scared me, so we never spoke."

She further elaborated on their journey, stating that in the '90s, when she was 15, fate brought them together once again. During that period, he tried to convince her to go out with one of his friends.

A year later, she saw William and overheard him confiding in a friend about his weekly tradition of taking his mother out for dinner. Colleen interpreted this as a positive indication, as her mother had always advised her to seek a man who treated his mother with kindness.

Her mother believed it would reflect how the man would treat his partner. So Colleen developed an interest in William, wrote a note with her home phone number, and left it under the windshield wiper of his truck.

Colleen and Her Husband's Love Story Began after Her Date with Another Guy

In 2022, Colleen shared a post narrating how at 16, in 1996, she went on a date with a guy. During their outing, she noticed William sitting alone, enjoying a Mexican pizza. She couldn't help but wonder why a teenage guy was sitting alone on such a weekend evening.

Several months later, she began dating William. After a few months, she mustered the courage to inquire about that evening. She asked why he had been sitting alone, and William responded that he was feeling hungry.

The two would later tie the knot in 2000. The couple celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in 2021, and the author took to her Instagram to share a heartwarming post.
