Michael's loud disapproval of his son's relationship sparked reactions from fans who thought he was being hypocritical. Fans believe Michael should be more supportive of his son's relationship with an older woman because he too was married to a much younger woman.

Fans thought Michael was being unfair since he got to marry someone he wanted, and now that Marcus is a grown 32-year-old man, he should be allowed to make his own choices and date whomever he pleases.

Marcus took the lead and explained that they wanted to use the podcast to address some of the misconceptions about their relationship but also give advice to couples that might deal with the same issues as them.
The college basketball player revealed that he and Larsa met four years ago at a party in Los Angeles. The couple started as friends, and the more they got to know each other, the more they realized they were in love.
When it came to blending their families, Larsa said Marcus was very close with her children. The "Real Housewives of Miami" star said she had not yet spent time with Michael because she and Marcus were based in Miami.
Marcus added that he found connecting with his girlfriend's kids easy because they were much older. He liked that he did not have to be involved a lot since they all already had a strong relationship with their mother. In fact, the 33-year-old confessed that when he does welcome kids, he wants to be a hands-on parent like Larsa.
During the interview, the new couple was also asked if marriage was in the cards for them. The reality star said the conversation would come up if they dated long enough. Marcus added that marriage was definitely on the table and that they would speak more about it on their podcast.
However, he clarified that they still had a lot to discuss, like their different cultural upbringings. He also mentioned that he was still focused on starting a business but did want to settle down in the future.
Larsa Pippen’s Previous Marriage with Scottie Pippen
When Larsa joined "Real House Wives of Miami," she was introduced as the wife of basketball star Scottie Pippen, with whom she shares four children, Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia. The NBA star also has four more kids from his previous relationship.
The former couple tied the knot in 1997 when the reality TV star was 23, and Scottie was 32. That year was glorious for Scottie. He had just gotten married and won his fifth NBA title.

In 2016, Larsa filed for divorce, but the pair decided to continue to work things out. A year later, she filed again, and their divorce was finalized in 2021.
Larsa's attorney said everything was resolved peacefully and that the former couple was working on their co-parenting relationship. When she returned to a new season of "Real House Wives on Miami," the mother of four gave fans an insight into her new single life.
The 48-year-old seemed to be loving her new life. She said she felt hotter and sexier than ever, but mostly she loved her newly gained independence.

Larsa also decided to sell the house that she and Scottie shared. As much as she cherished the memories she made there, she did not want to continue to live in it without the basketball player. "I feel like it's a new chapter, a new day, and we need to sell it," she added.
The 48-year-old loved the life she shared with Scottie and their four beautiful children, but after a two-decade marriage, she admitted that the dating life was not as easy as she anticipated.
Larsa might have found love with Marcus, but she is grateful for her 23 years of marriage and the incredible life she and Scottie had.
