"Linking up with my 'Oppenheimer cast mates..." Robert Downey Jr. wrote on Instagram, "Wait, is that a Krasinski photo bomb, or might there be a surprise cameo???"

"If I had a nickel for every time John Krasinski was teased for a potential cameo in a movie, " an Instagram user mused, "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice."

"That much talent in just one frame," a fan pointed out. A viewer of "The Office" commented, "If Jim from The Office is in it. It must be good." Another demanded:

"What is Jim doing there?"

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have been married since July 2010. They acted together in the thriller "A Quiet Place," but there is no official word if they will share the screen again in 2023 for the biopic.

The release date of "Oppenheimer," Christopher Nolan's film on the man who is deemed the father of the atomic bomb, has pitted it against an improbable film released on the same day, "Barbie The Movie."

Tom Cruise showed his support for the unlikely "double feature" by posting photos with "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One" director Christopher McQuarrie with the movies' posters with tickets.

"Mission: Accepted!" the "Barbie The Movie" official Twitter account posted days later with photos of its director, Greta Gerwig, and its lead, Margot Robbie, posing with their ticket stubs to see "Mission: Impossible," "Indiana Jones" and "Oppenheimer."
