Tom Brittney Appears to Be Single and Has No Wife
Intriguingly, the presence of a wife in Tom Brittney's life remains a mystery, as the actor has never openly discussed his private life or hinted at being romantically involved.
He prioritizes his career over actively participating in the dating scene. He's currently focused on working on the TV series "Grantchester" alongside fellow actors Robson Green and James Norton.
The actor revealed in a 2020 interview that inviting his loved ones — his father and then-girlfriend — to the set had become a tradition for him, where they serve as extras for the show.
In a 2015 interview, Brittney revealed that he had an American girlfriend.
Katie Tweddle Was Tom Brittney's Ex-girlfriend, Not His Wife
Katie Tweddle is an illustrator based in London, England. She has worked as the middleweight designer for Article Ten since July 2022 and as the founder of Outfaced Illustrations since February 2018.
Most fans assumed Tweddle was Tom Brittney's wife, but she was his longtime girlfriend until they reportedly parted ways in 2021. According to a friend of the former couple, the split was amicable, and Brittney kept himself occupied with work during the lockdown.
The duo's dating timeline remains unclear, though. However, there were a couple of instances when they were seen together in public. In 2016, they attended a football game, and in 2019, they appeared at the ITV Palooza held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

In addition, back in 2017, Brittney took to Twitter to talk about Tweddle. In a tweet, he humorously mentioned that his girlfriend mistakenly thought the pictures he shared were all of actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
Interestingly, Tweddle appeared to have not been the sole woman whom Brittney dated. In a 2015 interview, Brittney revealed that he had an American girlfriend.
Brittney is among the many actors whose dating lives have intrigued many fans, including Milo Manheim, Bart Edwards, Asa Butterfield, and Lucas Bravo.
Even though the actor doesn't have a romantic partner, there are people in his life who he considers more important than being in a relationship.
Tom Brittney Has Two Important Women in His Life
Despite not having a girlfriend or a wife, Tom Brittney has two influential women he continues to hold in high regard: his mother, Lynn Brittney, and his younger sister.
His mother is a novelist and playwright, and she was his first drama teacher. Little is known about his sister, but according to his mom's website, his younger sibling "is a private person and not in the creative industries."
The trio has been close to each other, as evidenced in the actor's 2017 Instagram post as a tribute to International Women's Day. The picture featured in his post was taken when he and his sister were still children.
In it, his mom smiled at his little sister while Brittney smiled at the camera. In his lengthy post, he wrote that they were the two women he was "so proud" to know.
He lamented the ongoing mistreatment of women, highlighting abuse, limited education, and unequal pay. While acknowledging some progress, he stressed the need for further action.
He also encouraged protests, petitions, and support for organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. He believed that increased awareness and education could eventually eradicate these injustices.
