Lytrell Bundy Is a Medical Laboratory Scientist – Facts about Chris Brown’s Sister
Chris Brown's siblings became a topic of interest among fans after he shot to fame in the 2000s. The singer has an older sister, Lytrell Bundy. She has led a private life following a difficult childhood.
While her brother is known worldwide for his talent, Lytrell Bundy has been out of the spotlight for years. As a result, little is known about the singer's older sister other than that she is a proud mother and a scientist.
However, in the late 2000s, Lytrell Bundy stepped into the spotlight when she defended her brother following his physical dispute with his ex. The siblings' mother, Joyce Hawkins, also spoke up about her son's crime as a survivor of domestic abuse.
Lytrell Bundy and Her Younger Brother Had a Difficult Childhood
Bundy and her brother grew up in a small town in Virginia with a mother who worked at a daycare facility and a father who was a corrections officer in a local prison. However, their parents separated when Brown was still young.
Their mother eventually remarried, and Bundy and her family moved in with her mother's new husband in a trailer park. And in the past, the "Say Goodbye" singer recalled lying in bed and listening to his stepfather beat his mom.
However, their difficult upbringing didn't affect Bundy and Brown's relationship. While filming his hit 2007 Christmas classic, "This Christmas" — co-starring Regina King, Idris Elba, and Lauren London — Brown revealed that he was looking forwards to spending the holidays with his mom and sister. While speaking about their relationship, Bundy said:
"It was a normal sister and brother relationship. Nothing different, nothing strange."
After shooting to fame, Brown maintained a close relationship with his mother — who made headlines for her "completely unrecognizable" transformation — and at some point, the mother and son were neighbors in their home state of Virginia.

Lytrell Bundy Defended Her Brother Following His Domestic Abuse Allegations
In the late 2000s, Bundy's famous younger brother made headlines for physically abusing his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Following Brown's arrest, his older sister came to his defense and said, "He's always been a good boy — never violent."
Chris Brown and Rihanna's altercation occurred over Grammy weekend, and shortly after their late-night fight, the musician knew he had to confide in his mother.

Like Bundy, Joyce Hawkins said her son did not have a violent bone in his body, and, as a survivor of domestic abuse, Lytrell's mother was shocked to hear about what her son had done to Rihanna.
Brown's older sibling is also a proud mother to a son.
"It was the most painful moment in my life to hear him tell me that," Hawkins said. Brown was arrested and served his sentence, and his mom revealed that his ex-girlfriend had been like family. She shared, "I love her. She's like a daughter."

Lytrell Bundy Leads a Life Out of the Public Eye, despite Her Younger Brother's Fame
After studying Biology at James Madison University in Virginia, Bundy furthered her education at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She works as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Transfusion Medicine at HDH.
Brown's older sibling is also a proud mother to a son. And in December 2013, she changed her Facebook profile picture to a photo of her son kneeling over a helmet as he gripped a football in his gear.
When her son was 11, Bundy shared in the comment section, "[...] My handsome little man is 5'3" and staring directly into my eyes. Already wears the same shoe size as his dad!" She has an Instagram account with over 300 followers and has not shared any content.
