YNW Melly's Girlfriends: The Rapper Once Said He Was Dating Four Women

YNW Melly's dating history is shrouded in some mystery, as the rapper has only given vague details about it. Despite once having several girlfriends at a time, he claimed he had "no heart."

In an early 2019 interview, YNW Melly, born Jamell Maurice Demons, spoke briefly about his childhood dating preferences and experiences before his arrest. The rapper was an outcast in school; he never played with the other kids and often spent time alone singing.

Still, he had a girlfriend. Describing himself as "weird," YNW Melly said he was particularly attracted to girls with greasy edges. He confessed that he liked when their hair smelled like grease. Sadly, his girlfriend "left" him for his sister, but not for romantic reasons.

Melly said he was jealous that she spent more time with his sibling than with him. At the time of the interview, he had just released "Mixed Personalities" with Kim Kardashian's ex-husband, Kanye West, and the song reached number 86 on Hot100.

West also appeared in the track's music video. Speaking on the achievement, Melly said, "I'm just happy; that's a blessing. I got a lot more girlfriends because of that. I woke up to that. I didn't even know I'm on Billboard. (sic)"

When asked what his romantic partner thought of the "Mixed Personalities" music video, Melly replied, "I got four. I just let them know what time it is. You got to keep it real. They know about each other."

However, in a previous interview in the same month, Melly said he was single. Speaking of his romantic history, another record under his belt is the heartbreak song "No Heart," essentially a diss track about a former flame.

Despite being the romantic partner of four women, he explained why he wrote "No Heart," saying, "It's because I ain't got no heart. A girl broke my heart, so now I don't have a heart." Still, he added that the song was for his fans and "anyone who plays with your love like that."

YNW Melly's Former Lover, Mariah Hamilton, Was Implicated in His Current Court Case

Melly dated a young woman named Mariah Hamilton between 2016 and 2020. Her mother appeared in court in June 2023 and confirmed the relationship. She said she even met the rapper a few times before the double homicide he is currently charged with occurred.

According to prosecutors, Hamilton's mother "allegedly heard a phone call between [Melly] and her daughter after the killings." Investigators also found "suspicious" Snapchat messages the rapper sent to Hamilton a few weeks after the shootings.

YNW Melly's Brushes with the Law Started in 2015

In October 2015, Melly was arrested for opening fire at a crowd at Vero Beach High School in Florida. He faced four charges, including three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm in public. He served a year in jail and attained his high school diploma while locked up.

Three years later, he was arrested for possessing drugs and a weapon. In January 2019, the rapper was arrested for drug possession again, and a month later, he was jailed for allegedly murdering fellow rappers YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.

In November 2020, his girlfriend, whose identity is unknown, and his mother, Jamie Demon-King, reportedly threw him a birthday party outside his prison. The videos capturing the event, where attendees celebrated and called for Melly's release, became viral sensations on social media. Melly's trial is currently ongoing.
