Paul Reubens was in the entertainment industry for a long time and became a household name with the inception of his children's show, "The Pee-Wee Herman Show," which began in 1981.

The show experienced enormous success, and Reubens held onto his titular role until 1990. After that, he starred in many other functions in children's and adults' TV and movies. Sadly, he has now passed away.

While Reubens experienced enormous fame due to his lovable children's show character, his personal life could have been smoother than the character he played on screen. In fact, in 1991, he ran into some trouble with the law, and a couple of years later, he once again found himself in a sticky situation that landed him a three-year probation.

"Please accept my apology for not going public with what I've been facing for the last six years. I have always felt a huge amount of love and respect from my friends, fans, and supporters. I have loved you all so much and enjoyed making art for you."

Reubens also dated Debi Mazar from 1993 to 1999, and he admitted she had helped him overcome some of the darkest times in his life. He once gushed:

"It was so powerful; it was a gift. I would be all funky and dark, but she was able to just say a bunch of stuff to me, like, 'Come on! Up, up, up, up!'"

After his breakup from Mazar, he dated Gabriele Corcos in 2002 but kept his love life relatively private. Although there are no children to survive Reubens, he will be missed by some big names.
