Tori Kelly's father, Allwyn Kelly, dabbled in various career fields before committing to the construction sector. He was married to Tori's mother for over two decades before they separated, but the father of two found love once more.

In August 2022, Allwyn Kelly posted an Instagram photo with his four former bandmates. The picture exuded the warmth and strength of an enduring friendship that began with music, spanning over several decades.

Alongside the image, he wrote of how they used to play "air guitars" at six years old and had come full circle with a band reunion 50 years later. He said the four gentlemen had been a significant part of his music, but more than anything, his friendship journey.

The Jamaican-Puerto Rican called them his "OG bros" in a hashtag. Allwyn passed on his musical genes to his daughter, Tori Kelly, now among the most well-known chart-topping singers in the U.S.

Alongside running AK Builders, Allwyn dabbled in MMA fighting. His first documented fight occurred on August 22, 2015, against Joseph Lara. He returned in February 2017 with a match against Kyle Agustin and presumably abandoned the sport after his last fight with Santiago Diaz the following month.
