Is Selena Gomez Pregnant? She Might Be Unable to Carry Her Own Kids
There has been speculation surrounding pop sensation Selena Gomez, igniting questions about her potential pregnancy. However, the singer has a medical condition and is on medications that may prevent this. Still, she hopes to one day have children.
Selena Gomez made a mark in the entertainment industry as an actress and singer at a young age. She is known for starring in the Disney series "Wizards of Waverly Place" before making waves in the music industry. In the process, she amassed a massive fan base who adored her.
In past years and to date, pregnancy rumors about Selena Gomez have appeared online, with several fans claiming she looked pregnant at specific intervals. She has also been dragged into rumors about Hailey Beiber's pregnancy.

Selena Gomez's Pregnancy Rumors Surface on the Internet
Over the years, rumors about Gomez being pregnant have surfaced online. In 2021, a fan claimed that the actress was pregnant. The following year, another fan asked:
"Was Selena Gomez pregnant when she filmed season two of 'Only Murders in the Building?'"
The rumor resurfaced again in August 2023 as a fan tweeted that the singer "seemed rather pregnant." Similarly, rumors about her ex-boyfriend's wife, Hailey Beiber, being pregnant made rounds on Twitter. According to fans, Gomez's name was frequently dragged into rumors surrounding Beiber's pregnancy.
"Selenators get ready if hailey is really pregnant y'all somehow will make Selena and her fans are the reason for the hate that woman is going to get. I'm gonna defend Selena no matter what happens [sic]," one social media user wrote on Twitter.
It May Be Challenging for Selena Gomez to Get Pregnant
In truth, getting pregnant may be challenging for the Disney star due to her bipolar disorder medication. In 2020, the "Wizards of Waverly Place" actress revealed her bipolar diagnosis during Miley Cyrus' show, "Bright Minded."
For several months in 2018, she felt paranoid with no one to trust, including her parents. She believed everyone was out to get her and couldn't predict when her paranoia would attack. It wasn't until she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder that Gomez understood what had happened.
Unfortunately, Gomez's diagnosis meant taking several medications to control her condition. Sadly, two of the medicines lower her chances of carrying her children. She said:
"That's a very big, big, present thing in my life, however I'm meant to have them, I will."
Selena Gomez Hopes to Become a Mom
Despite her circumstances, Gomez hopes to become a wife and mother someday. She knows her career in the entertainment industry will one day end when she's tired. By that time, she will likely dedicate her time to philanthropy.
Until then, the singer tries to stay sane despite work pressures by taking social media breaks occasionally. Selena Gomez was previously accused of having plastic surgery done. She was also criticized for her weight but made fans know she accepted her body as it was.
Despite not yet being a mom, Gomez is a loving and wonderful big sister to Gracie Elliott Teefey. "I'm obsessed with her becoming a big sister," she said after Gracie was born. Gomez knows she is responsible for being a good role model for her little sister.
In 2017, the singer and actress penned a letter about being fearless on Instagram. She hoped her sister would grow up knowing her voice matters and would inspire her peers to be good people. The siblings often spend time with each other and share glimpses of their relationship online.
