She was even present at Sam's wedding with Britney Spears, which was held in 2022. One of her daughters shared a photo of Fatima posing with her children.

In 2021, Sam Asghari revealed that he had been separated from his father for 12 years, approximating the duration to half of his life. The model and actor then implied that he wanted to reunite with his father because he had made him who he was.

According to accounts, Sam's father had moved to the United States to secure a better life for the family. On the contrary, some sources suggested that Sam's father, Mahmoud Asghari, had left the family in Tehran, Iran, during the mid-1990s and remarried another woman in 1999. But the marriage was short-lived; the two reportedly ended up divorcing in 2004.
