Natalie Ray Hynde Is an Activist – Meet Chrissie Hynde & Ray Davies' Daughter

Natalie Ray Hynde is Chrissie Hynde's daughter, who was raised predominantly by her mother. Her father, English musician Ray Davis was not present for most of her childhood.

Natalie Ray Hynde is Chrissie Hynde's daughter from her relationship with English musician Ray Davies. Natalie and her sister were raised alone by their mother. Both of their respective fathers were not in the picture while growing up.

Natalie was raised as a vegetarian by her mother, who mentioned in an interview that Natalie has had the fortunate experience of being brought up in that manner and has never consumed meat.

Natalie Ray Hynde's Mother Influenced Her Activism

Despite having parents with successful careers in the entertainment industry, Natalie chose a different path. She is an activist. Natalie has been going strong with her activism career for years, despite experiencing multiple arrests.

In fact, on her 30th birthday, she was up on a tree protesting about a new road. In a past interview, Natalie Ray Hynde said her mother and father were proud and supportive of her activism. Despite lacking a personal interest in music, Chrissie Hynde's daughter, Natalie, enjoys some of her parents' songs. Natalie leads a modest lifestyle and doesn't own a mobile phone.

Natalie's mother revealed that she discovered her passion for painting when her kids moved out of the house.

Natalie, who studied English Literature at King's College London, identifies as an eco-warrior, environmental activist, and counselor. She was once a model but later admitted to not finding it enjoyable.

Chrissie Hynde's Daughter Inherited Her Mom's Love for Art

In 2013, Natalie Ray Hynde made a court appearance after her arrest during anti-fracking demonstrations. The dedicated environmental activist faced allegations of trespassing on railway property in Balcombe, West Sussex. Natalie firmly denied the sole charge of trespassing.

In addition to her activism, Natalie also possesses a fondness for art, as evidenced by her uncle Dave Davies, who showcased her artwork on his Instagram page. She demonstrates impressive creativity and skill in her artistic creations.

Natalie inherited her mom's talent for art. Natalie's mother made an art book featuring around 200 oil paintings, from vibrant abstract pieces to portraits of her daughters, herself, and friends, including Sandra Bernhard, who costarred with Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, and Sara Gilbert in "Roseanne."

Natalie's mother revealed that she discovered her passion for painting when her kids moved out of the house. During this period, she started exploring painting and realized her enjoyment of it. Speaking in an interview, she said:

"I realized [painting] was always in the back of my mind, whatever I was doing."

Natalie has a younger half-sister named Yasmine Kerr. Chrissie shares Yasmin with Scottish singer Jim Kerr. Yasmin's parents met in Australia in 1985 while touring with their respective bands. Jim and Chrissie had a relationship when Chrissy was still going out with Natalie's father.

Jim and Chrissie eventually married each other, but their marriage didn't stand the test of time; they ended up calling it quits after a few years, with Chrissie opting to raise her daughters on her own.
