On July 24, 1969, Jennifer Lynn Lopez was welcomed into the world by her Puerto Rican parents, David and Guadalupe, in the Bronx, New York. From a young age, she desired a career in the arts and wanted to dance, sing, act, and be famous.

At age 17, she got a spot at Manhattan's Phil Black Dance Studio, and in 1991, she made her dancing debut when she was chosen to star in the show, "In Living Colour."

Now and again, she would land a TV or movie role, but in 1997, she got her most significant role as the lead star in the bio-pic "Selena." Lopez made history by becoming the first Latina actress to earn $1 million for an acting role.

Since then, she's appeared in films like "The Wedding Planner," "Anaconda," "Marry Me," and "Hustlers." The star's singing career launched in the late 1990s when a friend assisted her with obtaining a meeting with the then-president of Sony Records, Tommy Mottola.

Mottola liked her demo so much that he signed her, and the following year, they started working on her debut album, "On The 6." Within months of being released, it went platinum in the US, and in January 2001, the single, "My Love Don't Cost A Thing," came out.

The track hit the number 1 spot in the UK, and in 2011, she joined "American Idol" as one of the judges. From 2016 until 2018, Lopez performed her Las Vegas concert residency, and in February 2020, she headlined the Super Bowl halftime show. In addition to her fame, rumors of her being a diva have followed her.

What Diva Tendencies Does Jennifer Allegedly Have?

Over the years, Lopez has been accused of showing off some diva behavior. In June 2022, it was reported that the star had "diva demands" when appearing on Britain's "Top of the Pops" television show in the 1990s.

On her podcast, Dannii Minogue claimed Lopez "refused to perform" or go on stage unless her dressing room was redecorated with everything being changed to "white."

In 2008, it was reported that the singer and her then-husband, Marc Anthony's nanny, left the job after being overworked.

The former couple had twins, Max and Emme, but allegedly expected one nanny to look after both children while working "16-hour days, seven days a week!" The pair's first nanny reportedly left after only a week, while the second stayed longer before eventually leaving.

Another diva move Lopez has been accused of was throwing a tantrum in first class when a United Airlines flight attendant asked her what she wished to drink.

In 2021, the attendant revealed how the actress refused to acknowledge him and turned to her personal assistant, telling them to tell the attendant to bring a Diet Coke and lime.

In 2012, it was reported that Lopez allegedly banned the staff working in her new home from talking to her or making eye contact!

The people involved in building her San Fernando, California, mansion were allegedly not allowed to interact with her despite them working on the project for a year!

Most recently, some TikTokers shared instances when Lopez was reportedly rude. One person said the singer didn't allow drivers to look or talk to her, and her luggage couldn't touch the ground. If the drivers broke those rules, the actress would allegedly go out of her way to get them fired.

The TikToker who shared this said her father worked for the driving company Lopez used, and that's where she got the information. The social media user shared how her father refused to drive the star whenever she was in town because of how "awfully" she treated her drivers.

Another story the woman shared was when Lopez was with her husband, Ben Affleck, at a casino. Affleck tipped many people with lots of money that night, but the songstress would allegedly go around to those people and take back the tips, giving them $5 or $10 instead!

In 2012, Pray Dodaj, a hotel maid, knocked on the musician's door at a luxury hotel in Dusseldorf, Germany, asking for an autograph. Dodaj was turned away by two assistants and to her shock, the cleaning company she worked for called her the next day and fired her. But strangers aren't the only people Lopez allegedly clashed with.

Jennifer's Bad Relationships with Colleagues

In 2016, Mariah Carey appeared on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," where she discussed an incident concerning Lopez. Carey once said she didn't know her fellow star, while Lopez insisted they knew each other!

Andy Cohen's guest joked that she must be forgetful because they might've been introduced at some point, but they didn't have conversations that would lead Carey to say they knew each other. The singer explained that she knew who Lopez was but didn't know her in a more personal capacity.

Two years later, Lopez appeared on Cohen's show and spoke about the alleged feud between her and Carey. The celebrity said she'd love to meet the songstress and be friends because she thought the star was "extremely talented" and Lopez was always a big fan.

The "Second Act" star also addressed the feud rumors when Cohen asked her why she'd snubbed Carey's Vegas show while she attended many other stars' appearances. The actress said it coincided with her filming "Shades of Blue" in New York and "American Idols" on the weekend, and she didn't have much free time.

When asked why she was texting while Carey performed during 2015's Billboard Music Awards, Lopez defended herself, saying she watched most of Carey's performance at the awards show.

Reports said the duo was allegedly "fiercely competitive" and didn't "like each other."

The alleged feud with Carey might've started after the singer divorced Mottola. Mottola reportedly tried sabotaging Carey after their divorce by giving Lopez songs meant for her while rumors of them dating circulated.

But Carey is only one of the several stars rumored to be feuding with Lopez. In 2021, a source claimed Lopez didn't get along with George Clooney while shooting "Out of Sight."

The pair reportedly couldn't stand each other, and when Clooney and Affleck starred in a new movie, Lopez wasn't photographed with him and his co-star and wife, Amal, because of the alleged clash. The insider believed the two needed to mend bridges.

In 2011, there were rumors that Lopez and Cameron Diaz had issues with each other while working on the set of "What to Expect When You're Expecting," with a source saying:

"They don't interact much, but when they do, the tension is thick."

Reports said the duo was allegedly "fiercely competitive" and didn't "like each other." Diaz reportedly felt Lopez's story about divorcing Anthony then and rumors that she was dating their co-star, Rodrigo Santoro, was a distraction from their work.
