"I definitely grew up feeling very, very different, and very isolated because of those differences. I mean, being in Arizona, all of my friends were blue-eyed and had straight hair, and I was none of those things."

While hurtful comments about Sofia's looks were not pervasive in the area, the subtle pressure to conform tugged at her, leading her to consider straightening her hair and wanting her skin to "look different than it did."

However, as her journey in acting unfolded, she observed the profound impact of her representation on young minds, and she underwent a transformative realization. Over time, she went from seeing her differences as a weakness to perceiving them as her "superpower."

Meanwhile, Korean cuisine holds a special place in Sofia's heart. She warmly recounted the memories of her time with her Halmoni (which means grandmother in Korean) and her sister, coming together to prepare delectable Korean dishes.

Sofia noted that cooking was a "big part" of her and her grandmother's relationship, symbolizing the latter's love for them. She not only takes pleasure in Korean cuisine but also harbors a deep love for Korean skincare.

Sofia shared that she had given a few of her Korean makeup products to her grandmother, and the joy this simple gesture brought to her beloved grandma made it a truly meaningful and positive experience.

She started her formal dance classes at eight years old at a studio in Arizona. Though she initially started with just one class per week, her love for dance grew, and she continued practicing at home.

Her parents played a crucial role in encouraging her to step outside her comfort zone and embrace challenges, helping her become the best version of herself. She acknowledged that she would not be where she is today without their support.

Sofia has starred in various TV shows and films. On TV, she starred in Disney Channel's show "Andi Mack" with Elizabeth Peytone Lee and the series "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" with Joshua Bassett and Olivia Rodrigo.

As for the films, Sofia shared the screen with Sophia Ann Caruso, alongside Hollywood A-listers Michelle Yeoh, Charlize Theron, and Kerry Washington in Netflix's fantasy flick "The School for Good and Evil."
