The star officially retired from Hollywood in 2018 before her close friend and fellow actor, Jamie Foxx, convinced her to appear with him in the 2023 movie, "Back In Action."

During an interview on the "Lipstick on the Rim" podcast, she revealed the film was shot in London and that the experience was incredible for her and her family. According to Diaz, her husband, who loves grabbing every opportunity he comes across, thought it was a good idea for her to agree to be part of the movie.
