Ruby Cruz's parents pursued careers in the entertainment industry. Her father, Brandon Cruz, is famously known for his roles in different shows and movies. He is best recognized for his outstanding performance as Eddie Corbett in the family comedy series, "The Courtship of Eddie's Father."

Ruby's father has also shown his acting prowess in several other projects, including "The Bad News Bears," "The Lords of Salem," "The Motorcycle Diaries," "Safe," and "The One and Only," among others.

Who Are Ruby Cruz's Parents? A Look into Her Father's Career

Ruby's mom, Liz Cruz, co-founded Song-Word Art House with Joe Woolf. The business presents and produces art exhibitions inspired by the lyrics of legendary songwriters, including John Lennon, Jim Morrison, and David Gilmour. The collections feature renowned artists from North America and Europe. They include various original artworks such as paintings, mixed media pieces, sculptures, and limited edition prints.

Ruby's father was born in May 1962 in Bakersfield, California, and began acting from an early age. When he was just five years old, he auditioned for and successfully landed a role in "The Courtship of Eddie's Father," which he costarred with Bill Bixby. The series aired from 1969 to 1972.

When the show ended, Ruby's father, Brandon, ventured into guest-starring roles, appearing in shows such as "Medical Center," "Kung Fu," "Gunsmoke," and various others.

Ruby's mom is now in a relationship with her business partner, Joe.

In 1975, Brandon secured a role in the film "The Bad News Bears," after which he found himself drawn to skating, surfing, and drugs, all of which he found more fulfilling than acting. During the late '70s and '80s, he emerged as a significant figure in the punk rock scene, becoming involved with bands such as Dr. Know and the Dead Kennedys.

When Ruby's father married her mom, he became sober and decided to focus on his family. Even though Ruby Cruz's parents divorced, they have maintained a great friendship, and her father occasionally features her mom on his Instagram and pays her sweet tributes.

Ruby Cruz's Father Has Been Supportive of Her Career

The father-daughter duo share a special friendship and have taken their bond to the next level by getting matching tattoos written "Best Friends." In an Instagram post made by Ruby's father in October 2022, he unveiled a photo of these tattoos, disclosing they had them done at his friend's tattoo shop in New York.

Ruby's mom is now in a relationship with her business partner, Joe. He was born in Toronto, Canada, and majored in English and Philosophy. His passion for writing influenced him to start a student magazine, which he ran for three years.

When he discovered he was no longer passionate about journalism, Joe returned to college and earned a degree in film studies. Joe worked in the film industry for 20 years before starting his next business venture, opening Song-Word Art House with Liz. The business has been operating since 2020.
