‘You’re a Mother, Put Some Clothes On’: Gabrielle Union Slammed for Baring Her Thighs in Silver Sheer Gown

Gabrielle Union understood the assignment when Beyoncé requested that concertgoers wear their most fabulous silver fashions for her sold-out "Renaissance" tour.

The "Bring It On" actress stunned in silver from the crown of her head to her platform sandaled toes. She was seen strutting in a metallic bikini covered in a sheer sparkling gown in a carousel of photos and videos posted over the weekend.

In the third slide, she posed for a cheeky shot of her bare bottom in the thong. "It's the outfit tho... You a mom," an Instagram user wrote. "You're a mother. Put some clothes on," another agreed.

Gabrielle and her husband, Dwyane Wade, welcomed their daughter, Kaavia James, in November 2018. The couple also raised Dwyane's nephew Dahveon Morris, his children Zaire Wade and Zaya Wade, with his ex Siovaughn Funches, and his son, Xavier Wade, with Aja Metoyer.

Social Media Users Either Love or Hate Gabrielle Union's See-through Look

"This is a reminder, in case you needed it," Union captioned her "Renaissance" carousel on Saturday. The concert was also attended by other famous members of the Bey Hive this weekend, like Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Keke Palmer.

"A woman that go out in public dressed like this does not have respect for herself nor man/husband," one said, insisting that people should not come for her because she stood by the statement.

"Dewayne allows this ?!?" another echoed. "Why do grown women have to be naked to feel sexy?" a third demanded.

Amid the criticism, others thought she looked good. " I love it!!! It's a lot of work to stay in shape," somebody countered, "SHOW IT OFF, GABBY." "Ok, she is a mom and wife! A sexy one at that, her husband like it. So our opinion don't matter," a fan wrote, adding in a separate comment:

"Baby, y'all need to sweep around y'all on front door first. Because I seen some booty cheeks and breast exposed on y'all page..... now carry on."

"Too many ppl worried about her being a mom or a wife. But forget that she's a woman first, and she has every single right to be free to express herself…" one said, recommending that people self-reflect on why the star's outfit bothered them.

Union is not alone in being criticized for her wardrobe under the guise of motherhood. Earlier this year, Keke Palmer was mom-shamed by the father of her child, Darius Jackson, when she wore a translucent ensemble at Usher's Las Vegas Residency.

Gabrielle Union Was Scared of Being "Bad Mom"

"I was afraid of being a bad mom, of not living up to the great moms that I grew up with," Union admitted to E! News in June this year. "I didn't want my lack of understanding or knowledge on every single thing to leave this gaping hole in her life," she explained:

"As I got more confidence, I'm like, 'Oh, we're all winging it? We're just doing the best we can.'"

The "Being Mary Jane" actress and Dwyane Wade were introduced when they co-hosted a 2007 party. They started dating and had a brief hiatus in 2013 but got together that same year.

Gabrielle Union explained that distance and scheduling caused the rift. She admitted that now, she ensures that her work schedule makes sense for her family.
