Inside Gwyneth Paltrow’s Relationship with Antonio Banderas’ Stepdaughter Who Is Now Dating Her Ex-husband
Gwyneth Paltrow and her ex-husband, Chris Martin, have built a healthy co-parenting relationship. The two have successfully blended their families and even have double dates with their partners. Martin is dating Dakota Johnson, and Paltrow is said to have worked hard to include her in the family.
Gwyneth Paltrow is an award-winning actress and a successful businesswoman running her well-known wellness company, Goop.
The actress had a public breakup with her ex-husband Chris Martin, whom she was married to for over ten years. The former couple announced their separation in 2014 and share two children, Apple and Moses.

Paltrow and Martin's divorce was finalized in 2015, a year after breaking the news of their split. The actress said they were working towards becoming friends and still shared a close relationship. But most importantly, their son and daughter were their main priority.
In one of her Instagram story posts, the actress was asked for advice on staying friends with an ex. The mother of two said that if you once chose to marry a person, it meant there were qualities about them that you liked, so when evolving to being friends, try hard to focus on the good things you liked about them.
Paltrow wrote an essay for Vogue magazine, tracing the eventual end of her marriage. She opened up about the fear of ending her long-term relationship and how it would affect her children in the long run.

Even though she knew she and Martin did not share a romantic aspect in their union, she still wanted them to be a family, have dinner together, and go on vacations. "We were close, though we had never fully settled into being a couple. We just didn't quite fit together. There was always a bit of unease and unrest," she wrote.
But she did not know how until her therapist introduced her to "conscious uncoupling," which caused an internet frenzy. The "Iron Man" star expressed that the journey was not easy, but the conscious effort for her and Martin to be in the same space even when they could not stand each other always reminded them of the bigger goal and the intentional work they were putting into building a healthy family dynamic.
In an interview Paltrow had with "Today," she spoke about her famous "uncoupling" theory and the attention it received. She did not think it would turn into something so big, but she tried her best to block out the media and focus on her family.

The actress also spoke about her relationship with her ex-husband. "We are family," she said, adding that they still shared a close connection and that Martin was like a "brother" to her.
Chris Martin’s Relationship with Dakota Johnson
After working hard to build a healthy friendship and co-parenting relationship with his ex-wife, the Coldplay singer started dating actress Dakota Johnson in 2017.

The two kept their relationship private and still barely gave out any details during their public appearances. They were first suspected to be dating in 2017 when they were spotted being cozy during an intimate sushi date.
Soon after, Johnson attended a Coldplay concert, and sources revealed how much she enjoyed the show. The couple was seen having several more quiet dinner dates.
They made their first public appearance at the launch of Stella McCartney's Autumn 2018 Collection. The couple remained discrete and used a private entrance instead of being photographed together on the carpet.

However, those who saw them inside the show said they were flirty and cozy. According to sources, Johnson never left Martin's side. They were seen holding hands, and the actress did not mind showing a bit of PDA.
By 2018, Johnson's parents also slightly confirmed the couple's relationship. Johnson's mother, Melanie Griffith, gushed over how much she loved her daughter's boyfriend and clarified that she respected her privacy.
The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star also confirmed her relationship during one of her interviews. Without giving away too much, the actress said, "I'm not going to talk about it, but I am very happy."

The couple has managed to keep their relationship out of the public eye. They are usually spotted enjoying quality time with walks on the beach and family vacations with Martin's kids and ex-wife. However, there have also been engagement rumors after the actress was seen with a ring, but the couple is still yet to confirm.

Johnson and Martin are also integrated in Paltrow's life with her second husband, Brad Falchuk. A close source revealed that the two couples usually get together for Sunday lunch with Apple and Moses.
The foursome was also spotted on a double date in the Hamptons. They were at the beach, taking in the scenery, with Paltrow wearing a grey bikini and shorts and her husband basking in the sun. Johnson and Martin were both wearing T-shirts and shorts, and the Coldplay singer had his hand around his girlfriend.
Besides doing double dates, they also spend the holidays together. A source revealed that Paltrow and her ex-husband Martin were joined by Johnson for their family Thanksgiving dinner, along with the former couple's children. "They're a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together," said the close source.
The photos of Paltrow and Martin having a double date at the Hamptons caused a lot of confusion among fans, but the actress explained that their relationship is constantly reinventing itself and making room for newness.
The work of them being "uncoupled" is a lifelong commitment, said Paltrow. But the "Seven" star said she and Martin have the best relationship. "We've learned how to communicate with each other. We love each other. We laugh. We have the best of each other," she reiterated.
As for her relationship with Johnson, Paltrow only had good things to say about her. She expressed how much she loved her and even posted a birthday message for her 30th birthday.
Paltrow also joined Johnson's big 30th birthday party with her ex-husband and son, Moses, in attendance. Those close to the "Sliding Doors" star said she put in much effort to ensure she had a good relationship with Martin's partner.
An insider expressed that Paltrow "has worked hard to integrate Dakota into family life — even suggesting that she join family vacations." Johnson does not threaten Paltrow as she has a secure relationship with her husband.
