A week ago, Gary Busey allegedly got into a hit-and-run with an unidentified woman in his hometown of Malibu, California. The other driver caught the aftermath of the purported incident where she says he side-rear-ended her car.
TMZ posted the clip last Thursday with a run time of 1 minute 5 seconds. It starts with the woman driving next to the actor's Volvo. She informed him that he had hit her car and she needed his information.
It should be noted that the straight-to-video stalwart is hard of hearing; however, he seemed to hear that she was trying to communicate with him when he reacted to her screams and eventually pulled over in a parking lot.
When face to face, he touted "Progressive" to her, presumably his insurance company. She explained that it was not how the process worked. He refused to give more information as he is a "private citizen." No one was injured.

The scuff marks on his car were visible, and one could see the scrapes and damage on the back of the woman's vehicle. KCAL News reported on Wednesday that the police were investigating the reality star, and the other driver had given a statement.

Social Media Comments on Gary Busey's Possible Hit-and-Run
Under the news report, YouTube users commented on the former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant's mental health and driving ability. "Sad, Busey seems mentally ill," one said, "it has been obvious for years."
"The fact that Gary Busey has a driver's license is a great reason to never go to Malibu," a person pointed out. "Who gave this insane gentleman a license?" one asked.

"The person giving a license to Gary is crazy. Not as crazy as Gary Busey, but you get the idea," another seconded. "Gary is nuts," a third echoed.
"Get a net over him. He's outta control!" a commenter, who has the actor Nick Nolte's infamous 2002 mug shot as his profile image, said. Nolte resembles Busey, and the two partied heavily together before the latter became sober.

Gary Busey Was in a Month-Long Coma in 1988
In 1988, Busey crashed his Harley-Davidson and cracked his skull on the curb as he was not wearing a helmet. He was in a four-week coma. The actor claims that he died on the operating table during brain surgery "and went to the other side – the spiritual realm."
"I don't have brain damage," he said in a 2020 profile in The Guardian," I have a brain disordered in a better direction because of how it happened and how it recovered." He maintains that he "got information" from the "spiritual realm."

The Oscar nominee had to learn how to walk and talk again. It was a rough time for his family, with his son, Jake Busey, feeling like he had lost his father for many years.
When Gary Busey participated in "Celebrity Rehab," psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy suspected that the near-fatal accident weakened Busey's mental "filters," which triggered his impulsive behavior.
