Saweetie's Plastic Surgery: She Got Breast Implants with Her First Big Paycheck
A few years after breaking into the industry with her debut single, "Icy Girl," Saweetie shied away from admitting the work she had done. Earlier in 2023, the artist revealed she had breast enhancement surgery.
During the Coachella music festival in 2023, Saweetie spoke about the first show she had ever done since her career began. The rapper shared it was in 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey, revealing she was paid $10,000 to perform "Icy Girl."
When asked what she spent her first big paycheck on, she hesitated before confessing it was "some boobs" and chuckled as she walked away. The brief interview was posted on IG reels, and the comment section was filled with supportive messages from fans.
One wrote, "[Well] her and her investment killed it on the Latto stage at Coachella! Continuing to root for you, girl @saweetie." Her interviewer said, "The 10K was a career investment," while another person commented, "I respect the honesty," with laughing emojis.
Fans Reacting to Saweetie Getting Work Done
While many have applauded Saweetie's honesty about her breast implants, some have disapproved. In 2019, one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "We lost Saweetie to plastic surgery."

Another said, "Ok, Saweetie, that's it on the plastic surgery, sis; you good right there." Among those who do approve, one gushed, "Saweetie is literally a dime + 99 cuz she got plastic surgery done."
Another felt, "Saweetie has some of the best plastic surgery out of all celebs." In 2021, media influencer Habibah Perez expressed her disapproval and frustration over those who felt the need to comment on women's bodies, including Saweetie's.
"They body shame Coi Leray for being skinny, Megan thee Stallion for being tall & strong, Saweetie for plastic surgery, and Lizzo for having fat. I'm starting to think there's no right way to occupy a body when you're a woman," she wrote.

Saweetie's Thoughts on Women Getting Plastic Surgery
During a 2019 interview, Saweetie was asked to confirm if she had any work done. The artist deflected from the question until another host asked what she thought about women getting plastic surgery and the societal pressure for them to be upfront about it.
Saweetie, who shared she was all for women feeling good about themselves, expressed that when a woman changes her appearance to that degree, it's a personal choice she doesn't need to divulge to the public. She added that it's only problematic when it's for external validation.

Saweetie Takes Care of Herself
So far, the only plastic surgery Saweetie has confirmed is her breast implants. She's one of many women in entertainment who've been scrutinized and rumored to have had work done, including Ciara, Kelly Osbourne, Miley Cyrus, and even Meghan Markle.
Nonetheless, Saweetie ensures she takes care of herself. Born to Trinidad Valentin, she comes from an athletic family and participated in sports when she was younger. She still enjoys exercising, particularly lower-body workouts.
"I think if you have good legs, you look good overall," she shared. Saweetie also cares for her skin, ensuring she moisturizes before applying makeup. And when treating herself to some junk food, McDonald's is one of her longtime staples.
