Djokovic also expressed how much the strides he made as a tennis professional were a dream come true, and to be at the top was an added cherry on top. "I never thought I would be talking about 24 Slams, but the last couple of years, I thought I had a shot." he expressed.

The 36-year-old honored the late basketball player Kobe Bryant, whom he described as someone big on building a winning mentality, and Djokovic believed that his 24th win was a good time to honor him since 24 was the number of his jersey, not to mention that he was someone he looked up to and shared the same values.

However, as someone who has won 24 out of 36 finals, people did not believe that the tears Djokovic shed were genuine. Commenters said the tennis player was a "drama queen."

Some even said that Djokovic's reactions on the field were pretentious and pointed out how he throws himself on the floor like he cannot move just to get back and play with full strength. In addition to all of this, people thought the tears he shed when he hugged his daughter after he won were just for the cameras.

He also thanked his fans for following the journey with them and assured them that Tara and Jelena were safe and out of the hospital. Stefan was also said to have been excited about being a big brother.

Stefan is now nine years old and has reportedly started showing his athletic abilities. But his father made it very clear that he would not force his son to play tennis. "It's really only his pure desire to step on the court. So if he wants to embark on this journey, I guess I have to embark with him too," Djokovic reiterated.

So far, Stefan is showing a keen interest in the sport. On the other hand, Tara reportedly has no interest in tennis at all. She is more interested in ballet and gymnastics.

Djokovic is also very proud of being a father to her daughter. He said his daughter takes him in all directions, but he loves being on the journey with her. He also expressed how weak he always gets whenever he locks eyes with Tara.

Although the tennis champion is making history, his wife has had to deal with the pressure of raising children with someone of his caliber and the challenges that come with motherhood. In an interview with Graham Bensinger, Jelena opened up about how her children changed her and her husband's life.

She was first asked if they were looking into having more children, but the mother of two said her plate was already full and could do without another child.

However, she also understood why her husband would want them to expand their family because of how busy his career has kept him. So, to get the chance to be part of every stage of having a child would be something he would want to experience since he missed out on a bit of his kids' lives.

Becoming a mother also changed Jelena. She confessed that she felt a lot of pressure to raise her son Stefan to be "special” because his father was already a historical figure at just 30 years old.

But she soon realized that she had neglected herself and her well-being trying to be a perfect mother, so she took a spiritual trip to Ecuador, which changed her life for the better. Now, Jelena is big on taking care of herself.
